Feels like Ground Hog's Day around here...these are the same numbers she gave us yesterday! Well, yesterday's AMPS was 172....close enough!!

We've got was seems like some separation anxiety issues going on, primarily with Frankie. Because there are so many of them, we've always kept our bedroom door closed, but they have complete run of the house. Since Trix's diagnosis (and as I result I get much less sleep!), Frankie has been crying and scratching at the bedroom door at all hours. It's the type of sound that simply cannot be ignored. When she settles down (usually after each of us gets up to calm her several times), then Zen starts up - he's a copycat who does anything that gets another cat attention. Half the time, Petey gets PO-ed when they do this, and starts fighting with them. I have no idea why they've only just started doing this, but they are wearing me down...looks like I have to spend some time cat-proofing the bedroom so they can come in, and I can sleep. The bedroom was the one room in the house where I would/could just toss my jewelry on the table and have lamps plugged in without heavy-duty cord protectors (Petey chews on cords). This is gonna be a project....

Have a great Monday, LL!

Hi Amy and wow, with the kitties being copy cats and wanting in the bedroom. Where is Mario in the mix? I hope he is one of your civvies. I have the habit of mixing up civvies with Beans. It must be hard to get sleep as I don't get any sleep with one kitty. That's a nice +2, by the way. Looks like she wants to see green. Have a nice day, Amy, and lots of coffee will help.

Mario is one of my civvies. Fortunately, he settles in during the night and just sleeps. Frankie is super-duper feisty...very kitten-like, even though she'll be 10 at the end of this month. Zen is feisty, too, but he probably wouldn't be scratcthing if Frankie didn't do it. He's really funny that way. Noah, Petey, and Trixie are all peaceful nighttime kitties...unless Frankie or Zen start acting up, then Petey puts his foot down! I think they'll be happy to be in the bedroom at night, but it will be an adjustment for us. We've always worried about squashing them, and DH has a tendency to kick while he sleeps....

Good luck on the night circus! You may have to let them have the bedroom and you can sleep on the couch!

Trixie is starting off nicely. Get ready for green.

Re: 3/4 Trixie AMPS 174 +2 114

sorry about the night time chaos, sounds like you have some home improvements to take on. Hope it won't be too much for you.
Trixie is at least looking great, love that +2!

Hi guys .. pretty numbers trixie .. sorry to hear about the night time struggles .. we never had our bedroom door closed at night, until mocha was diagnosed .. it was easier to keep her confined for eating and tests at night .. twix hated it and would paw at the door every single night .. mocha would howl and moan and meezer talk all night .. it was a long two years with that door closed .. I don't know if me and peter were more excited about mocha going OTJ for no more shots, or so that the door could be open again

I predict green for Trix today!

I know what you mean about not being able to ignore the crying and scratching. We had the same situation with a closed bedroom door. I started leaving it open, and the cats decided they didn't want to sleep on the bed anyway because I move around so much in my sleep. I didn't have to cat-proof the room though. Good luck, Amy!

Re: 3/4 Trixie AMPS 174 +2 114

Amy, I am so sorry you are having to go through all the craziness with the kitties at night. What we do for our babies! I hope you can work out a solution so you can get some rest.

Ugh...looks like I spoke to soon when I mentioned we may have found her breakthrough dose yesterday.

I do have a feeling that, once the novetly wears off, the kitties will be unimpressed with an open bedroom door. The biggest issue we have right now is that our master bath is under construction, not kitty-safe, and doesn't have a door...and DH is doing the work, so it's not something that will wrap up any time soon. We need to figure out how to make that space safe before we can begin the open-door policy. I hope it's soon, 'cause I really need some sleep!!

Oh Trixie! Come on down sweet girl. Wow on the kitties. I wonder why all of a sudden. You definitely need sleep but they miss their mama bean. Hope you get some rest!

Maybe an animal communicator can help you sort it out? You definitely need to get enough sleep. Trixie, let's see some more of those greens.
Liz
