Hi Folks:
Today is a big day in Scooter life and I love that you all understand!
I have a lot of you to thank and I wish I could hug you all in person. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:
When I first came back on this board in December Scooter was on Humilin N since it had worked for Jack 2 years previous. BJM answered a lot of my questions and gave me great dosing advice while slowly suggesting that lantus or levemir might be a better choice for Scooter. After Vet consultation we decided on levemir. Then started the red and black month. Thank you BJM for guiding me and introducing me to lantus land!
When I arrived here you folks all kicked in and I began my graduate course in FD. I felt like each one of you had knowledge I needed and answered all of my questions. I read so much it was crazy! I want to thank Marje and Gracie for realizing I needed help with my SS and taking that under her wing. I love my SS to this day it is so easy to use!
When I was down because Scooters numbers were awful you all picked me up and made me smile. You made me feel like it wasn't hopeless. My partner this morning said "I think Scooter would be dead if we didn't have those people". No statement could be truer! Thank you!
Then came the conversation that maybe Scooter was getting kibble somehow. We decided to take all of the kitties off kibble and go to LC wet food. On Feb 19 Scooter started sliding down right away and went into hypo. I jumped into lantus land and you were here for me. Wendy and Neko and Angela and Blackie you saved Scooters life that horrible night. I would never have gotten thru that alone because you were thinking for me. You knew things before I even asked and you kept me calm. I am truly humbled by your kindness.
Ella and Rusty you were so right that I was in good hands! Sienne and Gabby thank you for thinking for me the next day when I was so tired.
Julie and Pumpkin you guys are so smart and became my go to for everything diabetes! Thank you.
Camille and Cyclone thank you for the wonderful video! It makes me smile and giggle to see so many of our kitties in it! The sayings you added to the kitties sound just like they would and match their personalities! It will be a keep sake!
CD and Big Mac thanks for letting Scooter use your Harley!
To all my new friends here who support us and make me smile thank you from the bottom of my heart! You are so amazing. My dream is you can all become off the juice and my prayers are that you all are healthy. Sending healing vines to everyone who needs them today.
To anyone new you never know what will happen. Just follow the suggestions of the amazing folks here because they want your kitty to be well! It is the most wonderful place on earth that you never want to be!
