Don't feel bad, Mr Tinkles is an absolute dog kibble addict. There's no kitty kibble in the house, but he tries constantly to get the dog kibble. I have to watch him like a hawk.

Dr. Lisa's site has a lot of great info about how to convert kibble addicts.

You can leave canned food out for grazers, or feed mini meals of canned food. Some people freeze canned food in ice cube trays and leave a cube or two out to thaw for food later.

My civie is a piggie. I feed her mini meals like Mr T, and I also am careful not to add too much water to her food. She has a tendency to projectile vomit (from on top of the bookcase....lovely!) if she eats too much at once, too fast or if there's too much water in it. :shock: The other thing that helps slow them down is if you mash the food down flat into the bottom of the bowl....it takes longer to eat it. ;-)

It looks like he is getting back on track...no more kibble, Mikey, please!

I am like a mad woman with hiding the kibble! I went for a walk earlier got about 10minutes into and freaked out thinking I left the dry food out. I ran as fast as I could home only to find that I hid it in the fridge, lucky because as I was walking back out of the kitchen Mikey was walking in! Marc is so excited that Mikey is venturing out of the bathroom sure because he forgets to watch out for the kibble :lol: :lol: :lol:

Anyway, getting back to some nicer numbers

Two things that might help to transition the stubborn kitties is to crush some kibble and sprinkle it on top of their canned food. Also, FortiFlora (it's a probiotic for cats), contains some of the same flavoring that coats kibble. Most of us use it when a cat is having diarrhea. The cats seem to love the stuff. If you sprinkle a little on canned food, it may entice the cats to eat.

It looks like the kibble has cleared.

oh, yes, he's back!!! yeah! and I believe last night earned another dose reduction due to the 40 at +4?

So...he was getting .25u now decrease to .1u or hold the .25?

Mikey is back and back in style! That sure is a dose reduction. I'd suggest practicing measuring the 0.1u. There are photos in the New to the Group sticky.

Yes, I have been looking at how to shoot .1u for a few days, just in case ;-) but thanks for sending the link, I was just going to look for it again!
