Sadly Titus has relapsed over the past few weeks. His blood sugars continued to rise! We have been deligent about keeping him on a very strick diet but it was not enough to keep him on the path of being insulin free. We will be starting him back on low dose insulin this coming week & do our best to stablize him. So here we go again.
 
Hi, Penny (unless this is Joyce posting for you). Sorry to see that you're back.

A quick question -- has Titus been to the vet? When a kitty comes back from the Falls, it's important to make sure there's no underlying medical problem or that a dental is needed. Infection or inflammation can cause a cat to fall out of remission.
 
No, that was Penny posting - Titus did go to the vet last week - we had a "double date" with the vet - Wee and Titus - weren't impressed with each other. Titus had blood work - it was good other than the glucose. They couldn't get a urine but Penny has the supplies to gather one on her day off. Regarding dental - probably could use eventually - had tarter but no significant gingivitis (Wee had that and is going in this week).
I snagged some Lantus off my DBIL - Titus had his first shot tonight. Started on .5 units. It till be interesting to see if he has quick results again. It was quite a ride the last time.
Penny is having significant computer problems and having trouble posting but will keep trying.
 
yes, Titus has been checked out by his vet & everything looks to be good. All his numbers are good! Thanks for reply
