3/31 Neko PMPS 469 +4 287 - dose increase amount?

We are hanging out at this dose one more day so I can be home tomorrow when her dose goes up. She has been acting relatively OK - not too hungry. When she goes crazy at food time she is either high #'s or dropping too fast. Unfortunately she is too used to being this high. This morning at 4:45 when I got up there was a lot of purring going on at the bottom of the bed when the alarm went off. I think she was saying "sucks to be you to have to get up this early. While you are up, do you mind getting me a snack?" She went out 3 times this morning, and is currently relaxing on the computer bag - which is unusual because my DH was vacuuming after some woodwork and that usually sends her outside. But it is raining outside now. Time to continue the nap and watch momma make chocolates.

Hi, Wendy -- good luck with the dose increase tomorrow! I hope it helps bring Neko's numbers down. You must be pretty tired of seeing all that red. I'll be watching to see how it goes. Hope you're having a great day.

Hi Randa,

I've definitely got all paws crossed on this one. Neko has been showing some drops the first day (or rather night) and then going back up to the red/pink zone. She is such a tease. This will also be a .5 dose increase so could be some freefall action. Get the parachutes ready!

I got my chocolates all done - I may be needing a bunch of those tomorrow night.

we have the same rain - buckets and buckets. we've got 2 rivers here and both have crested past flood stage. glad i don't live by the rivers. good time to stay inside! neko's smart!

Work your new dose Neko, it would be nice to see your PSs something a bit lower than red!

As befitting a black and white cat, Neko has a day version of BG numbers and a night version. The day version is mostly icky reds and pinks, and the night version visits the yellow floors and may possibly have visited blues. I haven't been up to test the +5 and +6 and this is the first time I'm up late enough to do +4 at this dose.

A couple of days ago the discussion was increasing by .5 tomorrow morning because she is mostly above 300 nadir - but that is the day version of BGs and what I have been mostly testing. It looks like the night version of the nadir is between 200 and 300.

So, the question is, should the increase be .25 or .5 tomorrow? Any thoughts before I shoot tomorrow would be appreciated. Thanks!
 
hmmm, me thinks more night testing is called for, you may have to join the lantus land zombie club ;-)

I think you are safe to increase by the 0.5 based on Neko's ss and since you are quite good with your monitoring. Others may be more conservative...
