His Spreadsheet is made. (If anyone is interested, I have his original spreadsheet from 6 years ago when he was on N) I have a dose (.25 U). Now I just need the nerve to shoot him the first time. I'm more nervous this time than I was the first time around. I am reading all the stickies trying to get a grasp on it all. I have a week before I start my new job to get a routine down.

I tried to look at Maxie's spreadsheet, but when I clicked on the link, it brought me to a page that said I didn't have permission. I think you have to go into the spreadsheet, hit the "Share" button near the top right, and it should open a box with a link that you can copy and paste.

Did you shoot yet?

Donna, his SS is working OK now. Looking at the numbers you gathered over the past few weeks, it looks like he is still holding his own pretty well. Maybe he just needs a little assist with insulin for a bit.

Please get some spot checks in, maybe +4 and +7 and a before bed check tonight. I am just thinking he might need less than .25u if he is starting off on a 209 with no exogenous insulin in his system. But lev is a gentle insulin and shouldn't drop him hard with a .25u. Even if it takes him to 45 or something, it is a gentle drop. he will probably rebound from that since he hasn't been that low in a while, but that just means you need to reduce the dose.

Remember, dose changes are made looking at the whole cycle, especially nadir and not just PS numbers. That was the hardest think for me to change my thinking on coming from vetsulin. I STILL have to remind myself about it.
