I didn’t intend on checking Max this much this morning but he’s been acting like he’s starving and pacing the floors. I’ve noticed that he does that when he’s dropping faster so thought I’d better make sure he was okay. He’s has his normal meals too. I’m taking him to see the vet this afternoon so he will be mad about that!

Good luck with the Vet!!

Yes! Dropping numbers may be conveyed by crazy hangry cat behavior!! It's how I know I should grab an extra test with Sly!!

We got back from the vet just in time for PMPS. He was scheduled for a sick visit to check his eyes with another one of the vets there, but it was our lucky day when Max’s primary vet came in to see him today. She was nice enough to do his whole exam, senior panel and his BP check so we don’t have to go back next month when he was scheduled for his routine exam. Everyone loves him there, I don’t know why he hates to go lol.

His vet said his eyes look fine today. I showed her the pictures on my phone (the same ones I posted the other day). He looks completely different now. No redness, swelling or drainage. She said it had to be something he came into contact with that caused a reaction, but looking at him now, he doesn’t need any treatment. His fur was nice and soft today, nothing like it was the other day. She said cats look that way when they are unwell and by his glucose being so high for a while, that was probably why. He also seems to have a constant state of pancreatitis. We got a refill on his bupe while we were there. His BP was pretty good for being at the vets office so she didn’t change any meds. So overall a good report, just waiting for the labs to come back. Max’s vet had a new vet there so she brought her in to meet Max and tell her about his acromegaly today and talked about his spreadsheets. The new vet seemed very impressed and interested. I’m glad Max is better now. Whew!

That's great, Lori! Max really must've had a reaction to something because he didn't look right. So glad that nothing needs to be done now and his eyes and fur are back to normal. Also great that you just got everything done a month earlier and won't need to return :-) Paws crossed for the bloodwork to be all stable and good.

The vet saw the pictures and was very concerned but she checked him out thoroughly and said she couldn’t find anything wrong. He does look like a completely different cat! I am so thankful and happy about that. Thanks for all your help and concern!
