sounds like he might be nauseous (China layed next to her water bowl too when her stomach was icky)

Any chance you have some ondansetron? It's great for nausea (prescription only though)

i don't have any of that. i called the vet and he told me to call back if it keeps happening. one of gizmo numbers was high for allergies and i had him on grain free food before all this happened because he started having (diarrhea & scratching a couple spots) while on a couple other foods i tried and they told me to do a trial and error type thing to try and figure out what he might be allergic to. are there any grain free canned wet foods or low carbs grain free dry?

Sure hope Gizmo feels better for you!

There are a number of low carb, canned foods that are grain free. I feed Wellness (pate style chicken and turkey). Weruva, ZiwiPeak, and Tiki are also grain free and there are other varieties that are grain free, as well. .

Many cats are allergic to fish, beef, and gluten. Gabby would reliably either vomit or have diarrhea or both if I fed her beef or anything with gluten.

Most of our low carb canned foods are pretty much "grain free", but what most cats have problems with (when it comes to allergies) is the protein source.

You might try looking at the ingredient list of the food(s) you're feeding and write down the protein sources in them....then pick one and start feeding ONLY that type of protein and see if things improve. Beef and fish are two of the most common allergens that cause trouble in cats, but they can be allergic to anything

did your cats stomach make gurgling noises at all or would just vomit?
