Morning everyone,

Well, that was exciting last night with Crystal's R trial. Eventually got to bed about 2.30 after some nice blue numbers at +6,+7 and +8 and a good start this morning at AMPS and +5. Proves she can do it when she wants to! Will see how her cycles go today. Last night's dose was 1u, do you think this is the right amount or perhaps 1.5u for the next time?

Crystal seems fine in herself, popped out briefly but weather awful so back for a nap, and a well deserved break from pokey ears this afternoon as I shall be out for a couple of hours at art class. I am attempting to to paint all my four kitties but proving harder than I thought to capture the "essence of a cat". bbl

Well done with the R! Looks like it was very successful and Crystal had a nice low AMPS today. That is great news

Nice to see Crystal back in the blue. Good luck with painting the Kitties. Sounds like fun.

It looks like that R really helped last night to get her BGs to a place where the Levemir could work better.
I think I would try the 1 unit again, just to see how it goes the 3rd time around (you were on 20 less units of Levemir the 1st time), but follow the advise of those who have been helping you.

Hi Bron, Peg and Dyana, thanks for looking in today. Crystal is back to the yellows at PMPS but I feel generally better about her numbers knowing that she responded well to the R last night. Can't do it tonight (too tiring, two consecutive nights) so perhaps tomorrow night or Thursday? Hopefully the R experts will drop in and give some advice later on the dose.

Have finished my second cat "portrait", 2 down, and 2 to go but very critical of my own work, but it's a nice couple of hours stress free from daily routine.

Nice job with the R. You know it can do the job of bringing her numbers down enough for her Levemir to get cracking.

"Essence" of a cat. Hmmmm? My house smells like essence of a cat, but I don't think I'd want to paint it?

You have to take pictures of your paintings and post them for us. Really sounds like something very nice.

Thanks Marilyn. It was a good result with the R, perhaps I will try a morning cycle next so I don't have to stay up late. Made me smile about "essence", probably the wrong word to use, perhaps character would have been a better choice. I'll post copies of my four cat pics when I've finished them all, thanks for your interest.

Great job with the R last night, Suki! I think if you wanted to get another 1uR next time, it may give you the data to say...here's what happens when I give 1u at 260 BG and Crystal drops by X. It may give you the ability to then say, let me try 1.5uR next time and see what that does. Ultimately it is a good way to develop that R scale.
