Trix is doing well....all the usuals, and gelcapping hasn't been too bad. Her appy seemed a tad off to me last night, but I think it was just one of those things. She did have a nice poop this morning, so maybe she just needed to make more room!

My Dad claims he's feeling better today, but he also said that on Friday. Hopefully it will stick this time. My Mom finally had a chance to go over his discharge papers (which I didn't even think of - too much going on), there was something about a "syrup" in there. We don't know if it was supposed to be a prescription cough syrup or what, but absolutely no one said anything to any of us about a syrup - prescription or otherwise - of any sort when we were in the hospital. We need to find more out about this one....and need to get more details because my Mom called while I was getting ready for work. So far my Dad is still refusing to get in touch with Dr Lee, just to report what's going on....being very stubborn. Among other things, I think he has an underlying fear that he'll land back in the hospital - but I think his doc would avoid that as much as possible.

Needless to say, I am still immensely stressed.....

Hopefully I'll be able to get back to visiting soon.....just way too distracted right now.

Have a great day, L&LL!

Amy

Hospitals often make mistakes on discharge directions. Maybe your mom can convince your dad to call the doctor to find out if a cough medicine was supposed to have been given. I would think it was. :bighug:

I bet Trixie was just being :cat:.

Nice green Trixie! Good poops help all sorts of things. :)

More healing vines for your dad. I hope he is getting better and better. That is strange about the discharge papers. They are suppose to go over all of that with you. Thinking of you Amy and sending massive hugs.

Hi Amy,
Nice that Trixie is cooperating so that you can devote your stress level to your dad's issues. I hope the story of the syrup will be clarified and that he is really feeling better. Vines, vines, more vines!

I'm glad Trixie is doing well so you don't have to worry about her. I hope you can find out about the syrup soon. Sending more prayers for your dad. :bighug::bighug:

I'll bet you're right about why Trixie's appy was off. I find the same thing with Cinco. If he doesn't approach his food with his usual enthusiasm, I watch him for a while, and most of the time he's soon off to the lb to make a deposit. The food generally disappears soon after. Sending appy vines, just in case.

Would your father get mad if your mom called to ask about the syrup? Makes sense to me to do so. My DH hates calling anyone about anything (he's on the phone all day at work, so avoids it at home as much as possible), so if we need to know something, I'm the one that does the calling. Sending continued prayers for your DF, and more :bighug::bighug::bighug: for you.

Vines for your dad, Amy. Hope the syrup mystery gets resolved.

As for you Miss Trixie. Scritchy, scritchy, scritchy in all the right places for being such a good, good girl!
