Ah, Tip! It's Sunday night, it's not nice to make your momma bean stay up when she has to be up early in the morning. I'll be getting 1 more test in about 15 minutes. Hopefully she's in higher numbers then. I gave her 1.5oz HC at +5 and +6.

i think it depends on how much you're around to monitor. Tip's been diabetic longer than a year, so some cats do better with the 3 times under 50 before you reduce strategy.

If you will be able to monitor, then keeping the dose the same can help take down some of the high numbers. The more hours in green, the more the bouncing lessens. ideally, of course! :lol:

so that's a way of saying it's up to you and your schedule. if you think you can't monitor, then i'd probably take the reduction.

Considering I might not be able to, then Since I'm planning on getting less nadir tests in the evening(when she likes to go low), it might be better to do a reduction. I mean, if she indicates on her before-bed test she might go low I'll stay up and get a nadir. But sometimes she seems like she won't go low, but does. And I wouldn't catch those times. That worries me a lot, because I'm thinking "What if I don't catch the one time she goes too low?" as everyone else will either be asleep or at work, so the cats basically have nights to themselves.
