Re: 3/30 Miss Kitty AMPS 206 and a non-urgent question
If you're not already doing so, I'd make sure to add water to Miss Kitty's food.
Many people here use Miralax if their cat is experiencing problems with constipation. You use 1/8 of a teaspoon twice a day and can increase to as much at 1/4 of a teaspoon BID. With Miralax, you do want to add a bit more water to your cat's food. Miralax pulls water from other areas of the body into the intestine so you need to supplement with some water.
The larger question may be why Miss Kitty is having poo problems. Is it hairball season? If so, it may be more a matter of dealing with that than giving Miralax. If your cat tends to groom a great deal, a hairball remedy that doesn't contain sugar may help. Or, adding a bit of oil, butter, or even vasoline to Miss Kitty's diet may help to grease the skids, so to speak.
