Nice morning for Maggie; not so sure about Bean. I think a btd is in order! All P's in place except lb. Maggie is such a sweetie putting up with more pokes now that I know strips are plentiful. Of course, I do it only when necessary and try to save her ear. I keep trying the other ear but can't seem to get a drop of blood, and it's also more difficult for me. Take care and have a nice day.

Re: 3/30 Maggie AMPS 98

Nice AMPS Maggie. Enjoy your btb.
J.D.'s Left ear used to be the good bleeder, and his Right not so much. Now, he has switched them. Go figure.

Re: 3/30 Maggie AMPS 98

Enjoy the btb, I'm envious.

Maggie is doing great! Tray's left ear is hard to get blood from, I try and switch as much as possible but it's darn hard to get a good drop from that leftie.

Re: 3/30 Maggie AMPS 98

Nice AMPS :-D Enana right hear doesn't bleed as much either but with the ReliOn you need so little blood that it doesn't matter   Have a great day.

Re: 3/30 Maggie AMPS 98; +3 82 Relion

Hi Dyana, Iorwen, Natalia, Karrie and Nicole, and thanks for stopping by. I see quite of our kitties favor one ear. Maggie is having a nice green day, and I hope she surfs. I have a feeling there will be one more drop. The btb was more of a restless rest but I should be happy I can do it.

Re: 3/30 Maggie AMPS 98; +3 82 Relion

Morning Ann and Maggie! What a lovely green amps - SWEET!   Love that +3 too.

I have always heard that one ear bleeds better than the other - but I've never tried - mainly because it's like working backwards on the other.  Silly me!

Have a great day today. :-D

NICE...a green AMPS!!!! Are you liking the Relion better? I hope you are having a comfy day....more PT soon?

Re: 3/30 Maggie AMPS 98; +3 82; +4 107; +7 114 Relion

punkin's left ear bled best at first, and i couldn't get hardly a drop from the right ear. now it's switched. i thought maybe i'd overused the left ear and caused scar tissue to build up. it did get the brunt of my learning and there were times it looked pretty bad.

maggie's sure doing well today! you go girl! (i went btb too. woot!)

Re: 3/30 Maggie AMPS 98; +3 82; +4 107; +7 114 Relion

Hi Ann,

Maggies's looking fantastic! My Sara's right ear is her bleeder. I try to use the left when I can but if I'm in a hurry look out right ear here I come. Hope the Relion is working out for you and Maggie.

Have a nice night.

Re: 3/30 Maggie AMPS 98; +3 82; +4 107; +7 114 Relion

Hi Michelle, yes, it is like working backwards with the ear not used. I end up poking my finger.
Hi Marjorie, yes, I hate to admit it, but I love the Relion. I think more PT will be in my future for the frozen shoulder. I see the Neurologist tomorrow, so we shall see. The shoulder is so painful at night, so I am a zombie daytime hours,
Hi Julie, yes I think Maggie has scar tissue built up, too, and when I poke it watch out blood bath, oh that sounds awful, but you know what I mean!
Hi Jan and Sara, thanks for stopping by. It seems all the kitties have one ear that bleeds more easily

Re: 3/30 Maggie PMPS 111 Relion

Hi guys, nice pmps. I think I may be switching to the Relion here in the near future and looked at a couple different ones but wasn't sure which Relion would be best. I believe they were all the same price. What made you pick the micro? Choco's left ear is definitely much easier to get blood out of than his right. I will try and use the harder ear when I have time to mess around but it's really tough to get enough blood. I hope you can get your shoulder back to feeling better. Take care and have a great night!

Re: 3/30 Maggie PMPS 111 Relion

Hi Marleesan, thanks for stopping by our condo. I originally had the Relion Micro as a back-up meter in case something happened to the AlphaTrak animal meter. There's a big difference in the way the Micro swipes the blood with a very small drop. When I first joined, quite a few liked the Micro. The Relion Confirm is also a very good one, and I'm not sure the difference or if one is easier. Yesterday I bought 100 Relion Micro strips for $36.00 at Walmart vs. I was paying $57.00 for 50 strips for the Alpha Trak, so definitely the Relion Micro is more economical. Good luck if you decide to change. Which one are you now using?
