Hi all,

Anyone from "team Crystal" online to give me some guidance? Definately thinking of using R tonight as she seems very reluctant to come down on her own. Julie mentioned a dose of 1.5u a couple of posts ago so think I will go with that but would just like confirmation. Have everything on board (lots of strips, HC, honey etc) She seems well in herself apart from high flat numbers :( very frustrating.

A couple of days ago, Julie suggested trial 1.5U of R if she's over 300, given that 1U just held her flat. I might go with 1U if she's just in the high 200's. Just my unexperienced opinion. Good luck with the R tonight.

Given that Crystal often goes up after preshot when she's in mid yellow or lower, holding steady can be a good thing. It makes the job of the Levemir easier once it reports for duty at onset.

I'd feed her as you normally do. Looks like 1U does keep her fairly flat. Next up might be a test for 1.5U.

Just checking in as well. I like that you are seeing the 1uR is keeping her fairly flat. That's a good indication that you might see a little more movement with 1.5uR.

Hi Wendy and Suzanne, thanks for checking in on Crystal and confirming okay to feed her, she's just making vigorous biscuits on her blanket at the moment. At least we have established that 1.5u would be a good figure to try next time round.

At least the R kept her numbers down today. No we haven't had to use the R for awhile. His
numbers a staying pretty good at the moment.( anti-jinx) I hope Crystal starts seeing the blue again soon.

I see BLUE! WAHOO! Go Crystal - blue is very pretty on a kitty!

Good job stepping out and trying the R this evening (morning for me.) The more you use it, the more confident you'll feel about when to use it and when to pass on it. You may see more of a response later because the R kept her flat and in a lower range, allowing the Lev to work better. Something to watch for and notice if you see it.
