Willie's elevated numbers continue to concern me. It is like the minute he dips below 200, he shoots back up again, no matter where we are in the cycle. We have a recommendation for a new family vet and he will be going in tomorrow evening for a urine culture. Given that he just had clean bloodwork on Friday, the internal medicine vet indicated that if there is an infection, it would likely be a UTI. She did reassure me that cyclosporine isn't a crazy strong immune suppresant, so Willie would most likely still have some ability to fight off any infection that he might develop.
Thus far, Willie is doing fine otherwise. He's eating a bit less, but still well within what would be considered a normal amount of food. He did play a bit on his own last night while I was on the phone with my mom, but he has definitely been laying around alot more, though still alert and furry purry. Normally, I'd be more patient with the sudden high numbers, but he's done this a couple times in the past, and each time infection was the most likely culprit.
Have a great day, everyone!
