Good Morning LL! DH is doing the shot this morning as Ann needs her beauty rest this morning :-D . It was quite a full day yesterday. We started Tess on the antibiotic yesterday morning and she is a whole lot better today.

WCR Only 4 Ps so far today. She skipped the LB deposit this morning, though it may come later. She is a happy cat this morning and was impatient to get to breffis, and joined the Clean Plate Club in record time. She is now on window patrol looking for the morning wild life. Ann will have more later. It's early for me too. John

Morning all!

YAY! I am so glad that Tess is feeling better today. Hooray for the AB's. Sorry for the pink this AM, but it sounds like she's feeling good, so that is what is important. Back to sentry duty and a secure home-front. :-D Mannie is so glad that she has maintained her CPC status.

Not going higher at least so, so far so good. Just got a call from the vet and definitely an infection but the C&S isn't back for the specific strain yet. :YMSIGH: It seems like every time we get into a rum of goos BGs , something like this happens. She is feeling better and no liqui-poo from the abs yet (anti-jinx). We've been adding Fortiflora to her food, so hopefully that will keep it at bay.

The blood work is back so we can pick up a copy this afternoon. She said nothing out of the ordinary apart from the BG.

Oh Our dear friend Tess, hope the AB's make you better quick & you have good numbers again..
Good that you caught that, and good that she is being treated already..
Higs numbers can always possibly mean infection in an FD kitty..
She'll be good as new in no time--Hugs, Love & Healing vines from me & Moonie!!! Lubs ya girls & DH!

Tess took a peek down to the yellow floor and decided against it at +11. :YMSIGH: But things are slowly getting better.

We got the blood work back this afternoon, I've added it to the Labs tab on Tess's SS. Unless it just wasn't ready yet they didn't do a T4 or the CBC Comprehensive and the urine tests won't be back until nest week. Dr Mimi said the only thing out of the ordinary was the BG, which was no surprise. However;
  • - the CK level was also high (635, normal range 64-440) and I'm not sure if this too can be attributed to the infection.
    - the sodium (146, normal range 147-156) and chloride (109, normal range 111-4125) levels were low ???

The good news is that her Creatinine is down (2.1 down from 2.3) and her Phosphorus is also down (4.6 down from 5.4) so the new diet is helping. Her USG is also up a little more to 1.021, there had been concern that it was too low and had been dropping.

We'll see what's up when the rest of the tests are in next week and discuss the results w/ the vet.

Great news on the test results!! And I'm so happy to hear she is already feeling better. You two are super beans...so attune to your girl ...no wonder she is a happy girl!!
