OTJ Trial Day 13 - AMBG 101 - PMBG 106 +4 117

Trial Day 14, AMPS 104. Instead of waiting 3-4 hours, I also wanted to get an idea of where he is at other times,
so after his breakfast (about 1oz. lc) at +1 he was 130, which from what I can determine is an acceptable postprandial BG..
I gave him and civvies regular 2nd brekkie (1 can FF split 4 ways) at +1. I'll see where he is at +4 or so.

So my inclination is to keep him OTJ, but do more random spot checks to make sure he doesn't keep
trending up from here.. Comments/suggestions?

One other thing I forgot to mention... I've been seeing some lip-licking and a bit of drooling.
He had his 2-week post-dental follow-up and everything was fine, but I may take him to vet just to
make sure everything's OK - I have to go to pick up some Adequan anyway. Lip-licking could also be a bit
of pre-nausea - he's very furball prone..

Congratulations! I'd give it a try.....if you see any trend up, get him right back on.

Do you give him anything for the hairballs? I give Gus unrefined, cold pressed, unrefined coconut oil. My oh start out low...like .25 ml bid and slowly build up to 1 ml bid. It did not affect Gracies BG but her triglycerides increased however, that seems to be a Gracie thing. It did not affect any of the other cats that way and Jill uses it for all her cats, including Alex.

Thanks guys, tossed up the OTJ icon - he dropped nicely @+4, so Mr. P is working - part-time anyway :lol: ;-)

Thanks Marje, we have a dish of coconut oil down, it gets licked away over a few days. I'll try
making sure Simon gets it in a measurable manner. (Beans use it too) ;-)

Back at the Falls! This is Simon's 4th trip, the last 2 taking the LL taxi - Hopefully "Fourth is the charm" ;-)

What can I say about LL & FDMB?
Friendship, love, encouragement, companionship, hope, humor, shared joy, and yes, shared sadness.

Bruce, I'm terribly late to the party, but wanted to offer my heartfelt congratulations. I don't think I know of any other caregiver who has managed to bring kitty back to the Falls four times. Nice work!!!
