Good Morning, Everyone,

Finally, a blue AMPS! Rusty got a drop added to his dose at PMPS yesterday and it seems to be working (also, he seems to be breaking that dreadful 3-fold bounce, which lasted more than a week). Hopefully the LagoonMeister will be back on duty soon. He had a good night, good test, shot, breakfast (first sitting eaten), a good schmooze with his mamabean, and now a nap in his little bed by the radiator. We had about 3 inches of snow last night and it is still snowing lightly. Rusty is breathing pretty well today. We are going to try him on Standard Process Allerplex and I just ordered some through Amazon (it may take a while to get here, however). I will also check at the health food store, and the vet was going to contact Standard Process about the possible existence of a veterinary formula. So all bases are covered.

We are still tired from our trip and from two performances of "Parsifal" (requires much concentration), so today will be a chillaxing day: a walk in the snow and an afternoon nap!

Thanks to everyone who visited us and helped us during our trip and our struggles to understand Rusty's lab reports.

Off now to visit (finally) some condos.

Ella & Rusty

Re: 3/3 Rusty AMPS 195

Morning Ella ~O) ~O) ~O)

YAY on that blue amps! Much better Rusty. Looks like the added drop is helping, plus he is back home, and more than likely glad to be there. Back to the lagoon soon Rusty?

Good luck with the new Allerplex. I will have to look at past posts, as I seemed to have missed Rusty's lab stuff. It sounds like you have a plan in place.

Enjoy your day today. I hope you have a good time out in the snow. it sounds great. We are due for a sunny day tomorrow, so I am thinking of heading up to Snoqualmie pass to a local trail there that is just off of I90. It's flat and short, should make for a great snow walk. We shall see....

Re: 3/3 Rusty AMPS 195

I hope Rusty slides down to the lagoon for you. Good luck with the Allerplex. I hope it helps Rusty's breathing and you get it quickly.

Re: 3/3 Rusty AMPS 195

Looking good, Rusty! Now slide right on into the lagoon. Hope the meds do their thing. We want you to feel good! Have a nice, chillaxing day. :-D

Re: 3/3 Rusty AMPS 195

Morning Ella, so nice to see Rusty in blue, and I bet the LagoonMeister will be back to supervising the Lagoon in no time. The added juice seems to agree with him. Good luck on the new med, and glad Rusty's breathing better today. Sounds like you've done a lot of research and discussion on it. Enjoy that walk in the snow, and have a great restful day.

Re: 3/3 Rusty AMPS 195

Hi Ella - I wanted to thank you for your thoughts on Mannie and the meds - and thought I'd post here what I wrote there in case you don't make it back there,....
THX too on your thoughts on Mannie and the meds and the IM vetty. I hope I can reach her, may have to settle for a message thing until I can. I look forward to getting her opinion on the meds, the combo, and any adjustments she thinks will help. At least he has not gotten worse, and today so far has been a very good day for him. Anyways - yes on having the meds given apart from meal time. it is what I currently do. Way back when we started the heart stuff I put it in his meals, which worked at first but ended up not being the best way for him Having them separate makes meal still enjoyable for him, and the meds thing is unrelated. I used to so BG all the time, until his P'titis episode and he refused to eat it. We started that again today for his one med, and that went well - licked it all up. I've recently bought some fortiflora and can try adding that to the mix. anything to make it an good experience for him, and not so traumatic as the normal manual insertion method. ;-) I really think this is the way to go for him, just hope he continues to like the offerings. Yes too on a separate bowl.

Re: 3/3 Rusty AMPS 195, +5.5 238

Hi again,
Looks like Rusty is heading in the wrong direction: maybe continuing a bounce? maybe a touch of NDW? Whatever. His appetite is so-so today, so perhaps he is having an off day. His breathing still sounds OK, however. He's eating his lunch now--all FF T&G.

Has anyone seen the new Paul Newman's Organics line of 96% meat, grain-free cat food? I bought a can of the chicken and a can of the turkey the other day, but am waiting to try them until Rusty gets down to his normal numbers. They seem higher in fat (9% range). K cals in a 5.5 oz. can= about 203. Protein is 9%. Ingredients look good.

Michelle, I really hope it all works out! Fingers and paws crossed.

Going out for a walk. bbl,

Ella & Rusty

I need to go back and catch up too. It's great that you have a plan for Rusty's breathing troubles. Interesting on the new Newman's own food. They always come up w/ something new just after a new fuds list is complied! :?

Re: 3/3 Rusty AMPS 195, +5.5 238, +9.5 224

Hi Ella. I hope Rusty clears this bounce and gets back to the numbers we're use to seeing him at. I glad that his breathing is better and he's doing well.

I haven't heard of the Paul Newman Organic Cat Food. I'll have to look for it.

Enjoy your walk in the snow and have a great day.

Re: 3/3 Rusty AMPS 195, +5.5 238, +9.5 224, PMPS 197

Hi again,
Rusty did pretty well today, coming back down to his AMPS number at PMPS. He had a good day of chillaxin'. So did his beans!

Re: 3/3 Rusty AMPS 195, +5.5 238, +9.5 224, PMPS 197

Hi Ella

I'm glad to see Rusty come back down to nice blue pmps. Even gladder to hear he's breathing well.
Interesting on the Paul Newman food. I'd like to try a higher calorie food for Checks. I give a little coconut oil when I think of it, but I think the slightly higher fat food might be more palatable for a fussy cat.

We had snow again today also. It looked pretty, but I never did get to walk in it.....went shopping.

Have a nice evening with your boys.
