Good Morning!

viewtopic.php?f=9&t=114724

Another blue surf for Ole last night;

PMPS 446
+6 311
+5 182
+8 154

And a nice AMPS. I just would like to see him hold steady, wouldn't you? Not much else to report with Ole. He's just being Ole!

All is well here, and I hope all is well there too!

Nice surf Ole!

I agree. I'd like to see him (and Cobb) hold steady where they are. We don't need this extra fun, do we Rebekah?

Ole, when mama bean said hold steady, she didn't mean go UP and then surf ohmygod_smile . Come back down from there please!

I hope your day is going good, and the stinky pinky disappears soon!

Good Evening!

I hope you are all well.

Ole had a steady day, as I asked, but in the wrong color. I am wondering if anybody has any dose advice. How do we hammer on these pink colors, without going too far the other way. I'm not in a hurry or anything, fingers & paws crossed that we visit blues/greens again tonight. I would just like your expert thoughts and insight into Ole's SS. Thanks tons!

I hope all is well with you and that everybody has a safe night!

Rebekah

Evening Rebekah - it's great to see Ole visiting the blue floor more often these days. Overall the SS is starting to get more of those nicer colours in it. However, I think you are right about him being due for an increase to see if you can get him spending less time in pink. Since he did see some green at this dose, perhaps a .5 increase. When you get to 10U, 1U increases can be an option if you aren't seeing green.

A general rule of thumb I used on going up was to increase if I didn't see green again after the bounce from the first green had cleared, or 6 cycles if it wasn't obvious when the bounce had cleared. But it does look like Ole is starting to clear those bounces pretty quickly. :-D

looks like he's bouncing from last night's blues - look how his numbers have made a slow but steady climb upward since the middle of the night last night.

He's had 8 cycles since that green. You're seeing most of the nadirs in the 100's. I think you could increase by 0.5u if you'd like, but overall the L is getting him into some decent numbers. At his dose, the 0.5u is a fairly small increase.

i also think you can use some R. It looks to me like he is still consistently bouncing - mostly they resolve in a day or so, but i think that's where his highs are coming from. I wouldn't hesitate to use a 0.1R to try to head off the bounce, say today when you got the 305 or anywhere between there and the pmps. i think if you're around to monitor, you could use it right now if you're within about an hour of the pmps and you see it still rising. i wouldn't do it much later than now because you don't want the bounce to clear and combine it with the R nadir.

that's what i'm thinking, anyway. perhaps others will have thoughts about his dose too.

alternatively, you could wait until this bounce clears and the next time you see several numbers in a row after the lower nadirs all heading up the side of the mountain, you could give a little R at that point.

does that make sense? you're getting a good sense of him - did you have some ideas on what you were wanting to do?

don't ya love it when everyone posts at the same time?

i think Wendy and I are on the same page about it.

Hi!
Yes, I thought about R this afternoon at +9, but couldn't be there to monitor. This is my issue during the week, monitoring. I can pop in to test, but then I am off again to the next meeting, or whatever. I feel that I am better off with a .5uL increase and use R when I can be around. Fridays are reserved for studio work, and of course the weekend. If only Ole would cooperate! I like how he is responding to his insulin, but I wish he wouldn't have such bounces! R could be really effective for those bounces, but alas, I have to pay for insulin.

Anyway, thank you for your insight, it is really appreciated, everyday.

Be well!

Rebekah.
