Yesterday, so glad that's over with. Thanks for the late night visit Tricia - Neko's vet also admits to fur shots.

3/2 Recap:
AMPS 317 +4 297
PMPS 299 +9 155

I did the little happy dance when I saw that blue at +9 and then AMPS this morning. So nice to have Neko back where she belongs. She was feeling better too, and gave her nanners a little loving after breakfast. It's shaping up to be another wonderful solarium day for the kitties, it just has to warm up a bit first.

OT: Darn cold on the water today, a degree below freezing. Thanks goodness for flat water (less splashing) and warming up quickly once we started rowing. We did manage to disturb a bunch of Canada Geese as we stopped near an island where they are resting. And I noticed that skunks are coming out of hibernation. DH is off to Whistler for a day of skiing (after rowing this morning) and again tomorrow, before hopping on the water again on Thursday. He's going to hurt. I'm glad Neko gave me reason to say no to joining him.

Good job, Neko, giving your Mamabean a nice, honest excuse to stay home and cuddle with you!! Daddybean is a little crazy, in my opinion, but I'll bet it keeps him healthy, which is wonderful!!

Good to have you back where you belong, Neko. Makes the bean happy. Us, too.

Rowing on a cold morning. Fun???? Give me my bed and lots of blankets and a cat or two, please.

Lookin' good here, Neko!
That is cold to be on the water. What do you wear? Your DH sounds like he is having a ball!

Have a good evening,

Ella & Rusty

YO Neko, more party planning tomorrow, in the Tree House. See ya there!

Yahoo for green! Neko had a long solarium visit, in spite of the noise from Mr. Excavator. He doesn't go all day now, just sporadically.

I got some more syringes and also get a pack of the 6mm ones to trial. They are a bit more expensive than the 8mm ones. On the good news side, I asked at Safeway, and their Levemir is $11 cheaper than anywhere else. For some reason they are the cheapest source for diabetic supplies here. :)

@ Tina, Carla, Peg, Tricia, Marilyn, Ella - Me too on being happy to see her back in good numbers. Right now I hear the sound of a nanner being crunched.
@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) - Two layers of thick wicking tops plus a lightweight fleece, fleece climbing tights, two pairs of socks, waterproof boots that I take off in the boat to put my feet into the boat shoes, one toque and a pair of fleece pogies for my hands. And the gel seat pad helps too. Similar clothes to what I've worn for cross country skiing. We don't stay still very long.
@ Rusty - Wouldn't miss a chance to get some Paw Prints Pizza! ~Neko

That's about what I wear paddling in the cold weather, but since we use double paddles on our solo canoes, we must wear raingear because of the spray from the paddles. I have a great pair of RailRiders Yukon Winter Work Pants (nylon shell with polyfleece lining) that I wear under my paddling rainpants. Knee-high neoprene boots with wool bootsocks. Paddling rainjacket over a light-weight merino wool undershirt, synthetic undershirt, and wool sweater. And, of course, PFD. When we paddle our tandam we don't wear the rain layer unless it is raining. Fleece mittens with grippy palms on our hands. And we look forward to warmer weather so we don't have to wear all those clothes!
