3/3 Hendrick AMPS 460 +3 222 +4.5 223 PMPS 495

Unlikely since he was comfortably higher at +5.

I tend to agree but I also was reading about how you can pump it up with some MC, see a rise, and think you're good but then later the food wears off

Maybe I'll get a couple late cycle PM tests Friday night into Sat morning. Unless he keeps me up late lol. With any luck, sleep earlier get up at like 3am to test, test again at 5 or something like that. That would be +9 and +11

And....here...we......go

5% - 7% at shot time

+1 he gets 7-10% mix (DM savory selects with raw dinner morsels mixed)

+2 he gets same as +1, just less
This is going to sound kooky but it would be interesting to see what would happen if the next time you have a black or red PS you instead feed him HC with his shot. Might it make the dive less steep and potentially calm his liver down? No harm in trying

some people say HC and they mean 20% or higher...do you mean that high? or more like 15%

Yes. When you feed higher carbs, you want to ensure that they don't dip low after the carbs have worn off. But this applies only when you've used MC or HC. Which I don't think you did last night?

Is the idea to keep him flatter but in higher numbers those cycles? Would the bouncing to reds and blacks not reduce with time? He is already seeing fewer blacks, reds and pinks than 2 weeks ago.

ECID, but Wesson (who is now OTJ) was bouncing to HI and flattened out with time:

MC is 10-15%
HC is > 15%

10% DM savory selects at +2 and a smidge at +3
Those would be out of the picture by +5.

I forgot to mention we are up to 10.8 pounds today!!! Was 9.8 when hospitalized for DKA on 1/8

He was stuck at 10.6 for about a month but it seems all the time spent in and around the normal BG range recently has added a couple more ounces!

Ideal weight as per our vet is in the 11-11.5 range

gave a higher carb meal than usual (maybe 10-12%?) at shot time see if we can prevent a dive, as was suggested

Off-topic but I hope the flooding is not endangering you or your kin. My wife's family is fine up in Mackay QLD, they are further North than the flood waters atm
Yes we are fine thanks. We have flooding in Sydney’s western suburbs, but we are on high ground. They have had a terrible time further north. The water rose so quickly and many people had to be rescued from their roof tops by helicopters and thousands of homes and businesses have been affected or destroyed by the floods. And the terrible toll on the farm animals and wildlife is just awful.

It would be interesting to see if it would take the edge off of the downward momentum that occurs when bounce breaking and onset collide.
