I took him up to 7 units this morning after another day of solid pink. We're starting to see yellow and blue more regularly on the PM cycle, so I'm hopeful that it's just a matter of time before we see similar changes on the daytime cycle. At ~5 kg, he's just 0.5 units away from clinical insulin resistance (defined in several places* as needing 1.5 units/kg/dose to keep the BG under 300).
We have an appointment later today to recheck his T4 and I'm going to request an SDMA as well to check his kidney function. It's a more reliable indicator than creatinine for hyperthyroid cats - thanks for recommending it, @Bronx's dad.
I have the day off for the vet apt and 2 MD appts later today, so I am going back to bed for now!
