3/3 Buzzy AMPS 142 = 1u; PMPS 123 = 1u

Nice start for Buzzy. I hope he surfs safely today. Sorry you didn't get much help from the vet. I hope you can figure out if it is the food bothering his ears.

Thanks - I'm just relieved to hear it's not something like ringworm or yeast - I was mostly there for her to rule that out!

No vomiting last night either. Hooray!

Nice start todsy.

Are you using antibiotic ointment WITH pain relief on the ears? It will really help. Must be the ointment though. I can only poke one of Ollie's ears. The other is super thin and doesn't bleed so I rarely get snything. And I try to limit pokes but some days she just have to have more of them.

No, I was using the one without pain relief.
I also haven't used it in many days, but his ears continue to bother him.

There's really only 2 potential things at this point: either the repeated blood draws from his ears has caused the inflammation & that's the issue OR it's his food causing inflammation & the poking is just aggravating it (because he shakes his head and starts scratching right after I poke now; it's clear the blood tests are causing discomfort right now).

Maybe try the one with pain relief. At least with every preshot test. It might not help if it's food allergy but will give some relief for the pokes.

I don't want to introduce anything he could possibly be reacting to, and the neosporin was one of those possibilities as the hair loss corresponded closely to my beginning to use it. It's seeming like it's not the culprit, but I am removing all possible allergens basically at this point. I'm using coconut oil on his ears.

Vet suggested using hydrocortisone for his ears, but I'm unsure how that might impact his blood sugar.
