Last night, I fattened Simon's shot a little bit and I did see some action. He went down to 69 at +4 but then he ate a little bit and went up to 118 at +5 when I went to bed. This morning, he did the dreaded hairball pukus thing right before he gets tested so I think I will see lower numbers today once his stomach settles a little.

He was so playful last night and started doing something I haven't seen in years. He has a little fuzzy ball that is attached to a wire string that he loves to try to catch. Last night, I started throwing it and he would run to it and then carry the ball over to my DH's shoe and place it inside the shoe. I would get it out of the shoe and throw it again and he kept fetching and bringing the ball back to the shoe. This is the funniest thing to see, but he hasn't done this type of playing in at least 7 years. I love that he is being more playful and happy.

All is well here this morning (except for the pukus cleaning up) and both Simon and Cleo are doing great. I've gotta run. I have off today but it is for my annua physicall exam and mammogram so I will be quite busy going to appointments. Maybe this afternoon, I'll get a little time to myself. Have a great day!

It's so wonderful to hear Simon is playing like he used to do. I just love reading things like this in people's condos. Puts such a smile on my face and I bet it did on yours too.

Have good appointments, I know mamograms are no fun so I hope it goes quickly and you manage to enjoy some of your Tuesday.

aw, Simon's having fun! my daughter's cat plays fetch like that. it's the funniest thing - the cat never brings it to you, quite exactly. just near you so you have to move to "fetch" it to throw it again. i thought perhaps he was playing with me, too. :lol:

Georgia - hearing about Simon playing and putting the toy in the shoe absolutely made my heart sing. Cheesy but true. Bet you were beaming from ear to ear. You made my day! He must be feeling good. Here's to more playing. Maverick is liking his cube and wants me to play. His arthritis is getting worse so he just lies there and moves his arms :lol:

Hi Georgia, so cute hearing how Simon plays. Too bad about the hairball. Good luck today on your annual medical tests. It's nice to get them done and overwith! Yes, our Walmart is a bear, too, with the parking and traffic. Thanks for stopping by my condo and have a nice day.
