Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. It was a good one here yesterday. It was very much a water day here yesterday, what with swimming in the morning, and swimming again in the evening. BUSY!!!!  Nicholas had been sick the night before, so was just a little off, just becasue he was so tired from being up in the middle of the night. After swimming in the morning, just a short session, as my DMIL, who watched William on FR for me while we swim, had an appt to be at, so it was a short swim. Probably a good thing, Nicholas went home and took a really long nap: much needed! After that he was as good as gold, and ready to go. William, having been awake when Nicholas was that night, also took a really long nap. YAY! Swimming was as good as it always is. The energizer fishie was in his element. I still love that drive from the pool to his house: 30 minutes of little guy stories, my little back seat driver! Quite the imagination he has. Funny - he had never seen a rainbow before, and we had doubles on the drive home last night. such excitement! i love his enthusiasm for everything. He still looks forward to our after swim Friday Night Burger Feast too. That is just so fun: burgers and fries, in the car, in the dark, just him and me, with lots of fun stories. This is what a wrote about the day in last night's post: "THANKS EVERYONE for the visit. It is 9PM, I have just gotten home, and so need to crash. I-) I-) I-) I-) I-) I-) I-) we did go to the pool, Little guy was better, didn't seem like he was to phased by his being sick. He was tired though, and a little off today, but understandable since he lost a couple of hours of sleep in last night So... good in a way that the session was short this AM due to my MIL, I was able then to take him home for that nap. we did swim tonight too, he really wnated to go, seemed 100% after that nap. It was a good fun time for him. all in all, an interesting day. a Longgggggggggggg interesting day. followed by a burger and fries pigout. funny, but he loves that. " What a great day. We drove home to sunsets, rainbows, and talk of swimming in the river. PRIMO!'

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   What to say about the kitties.... They have been good kitties, and even Lola! Well sorta on Lola... Lola will always be Lola. Crazy fun Lola. When I got home last night I watched Bug, once again, continue to maneuver Lola into runs and romps. That is so fun to watch, and so what goes down here on FR nights. . Elsa just watches, trying to decide what on earth they are doing at such a late hour. I did get her to join in on two of the romps though. She ran once, then again, and then looked at me with that "Well? You satisfied now?" look.  I told her it was ok, and go ahead and go to bed. Mama was coming to join her shortly. There was nothing amiss when I got home, just kitties waiting at the top of the stairs. Just as it always is. LOVE THAT! Lola was rolling on the stairs, Bug was pacing, and Elsa was just sitting with that stare: where have you been? They definitely have adjusted to the late Friday nights. I get a few meows, some leg rubs, they get scritches in return, and then off they go. DH fed them so there was no worry over them producing that "blood oath", they had full bellies and were content... Lola has a new thing... We have this chaise lounge. Last night I couldn't find here just before I went to bed. Seems that she has made this hole in the underlining, and a nice little sleeping spot in the innards of that lounger. I heard this faint rustle, and looked under. There she was, curled up in a ball, up the that furniture's stuffing. Never ever a dull moment with Miss Lola. Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone! It will be a normal Caturday here: shopping, laundry errands, all those things I never get done when I have the boys. Catch up day! and recovery day from three very busy days with the boys. :-D Time permitting, and weather, I may go for a short hike though the woods to the shore later today, if it stops raining. ;-)

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN cat_pet_icon

Re: 3/29 LOOSE LIPS: pools, pools, & rainbows! happy caturda

We have holes in the underlining of the spare room boxspring! It is also a favorite kitty hideaway. :-D
Looks like William will be walking soon, and skipping the crawling altogether. :-D I think that Nicholas will be a good helper when the time comes you need to let William on the ground. He is such a good big brother :-D

Wishing you some sunshine and some outside time today Michelle!

Re: 3/29 LOOSE LIPS: pools, pools, & rainbows! happy caturda

Hi Michelle,
That was a really good day yesterday. William does look like he will be walking (and swimming?) soon. The fish will have a lot to teach him!
Too funny about Lola's hideaway.

Enjoy your chores day and your hike/walk in good weather.

Thank you Elsa for the delicious ~O)

Re: 3/29 LOOSE LIPS: pools, pools, & rainbows! happy caturda

It's so sweet that the kitties all wait to greet you when you get home. Oh dear, on the hole in the chair...at least Lola picked a spot that is hidden :? . I'm glad you had such a great day yesterday, it sounds like every day with the boys is a water day ;-) .

I hope you get your errands done fast, so you can have a nice hike and enjoy the day (with no rain!). Happy Caturday, Michelle!

Re: 3/29 LOOSE LIPS: pools, pools, & rainbows! happy caturda

Morning everyone! or afternoon! What a dreary dismal day here. The rains started about 54AM, and have been coming down non-stop since.... so much for a weather break. I remain hopeful. :?

Hi Jane ~O) ~O) ~O) What is it with these kitties and these type of hiding places... oh well. This is a first for me, never had a kitty chose that type of a place before. Leave it to Lola. :-D We think so o William, at least more mobile. He so wants to keep up with big bro! I think so too on Nicholas. He so wants to help, and I just hope he is "overly helpful". THX on today - but that sun looks really doubtful.

Hi Ella ~O) ~O) ~O) We did well yesterday, even with Nicholas being in the recovery mode for the morning. Could be on William - he is starting to get that all put together. I so hope on William. I really need to sit down and map out how I can get him there, to the pool, on his own. Nicholas is waiting too. He loves to have little bro hangout with him. Never ever a dull moment with Lola, always something new. THX on today. Looks like I may be getting wet... I will have to pick a time when the rains are just showers... ;-)
Auntie Ella! Anytime! ~~ Elsa, KBP

Hi Rachel ~O) ~O) ~O) I love that part of coming home - the meet and greet. Fr nght I am so late getting here that they are overly exuberant, making it all the more fun. True on the hidden spot. that part I like, not so much the hole. :LOL, and yes, we do do alot with water, in all it's forms. The pool has just taken off with Nicholas. I hope it is the same with William. Nicholas's next fav thing to do is river visits. He was asking yesterday when he can go back. That I hope will be soon, mid April. THX on today - errands done, no we wait on the weather. ;-)

Re: 3/29 LOOSE LIPS: pools, pools, & rainbows! happy caturda

That's neat Nicholas got to see rainbows last night. I figured he'd wake up from his nap and be wanting to go swimming again.

 on Lola's new spot. She likes to keep you on your toes.

Re: 3/29 LOOSE LIPS: pools, pools, & rainbows! happy caturda

Happy Caturday Night LL! How has the day been treating you? it is 5PM here, and as I type this the sun is shining, the clouds are also ominous, the rains are falling, winds are picking up and we have several rainbows. convoluted!, and pretty at the same time. It is amazing what sun can do to the luminosity of raindrops. Tt's been a decent day here. POURED this morning, by 2 if had stopped, so I headed on out then: just walked the woods here at home, had a great time doing that. It was muddy as it could possibly be. No surprise I guess after all that rain this morning. Things are really starting to bud in the park. The contrast between the new green and the old gray was rather nice. Trillium is starting to bloom, well the one patch I could find is. Love that plant. anyways, rest of the day has been more or less an SOS day, shopping errands and laundry now done. No complaints though, it's nice to have a laid back, come as it may day. ;-) For anyone following the ews of the horrific mudslide here in WA, a bit of news on Oso. The dept of Ecology has been out to the site, and in their opinion they feel the area is contaminated, what with all the propane tanks, septic systems etc. sheshhh.... what else could go wrong over there. Guess they will now do a formal assessment of conditions. Expected I guess. I feel for those folks.

Hi Carla ~O) I thought so too on the rainbows - it was a big one, huge, so easily seem by him. the other was faint, and small. He was so excited. That was coo. and yes on the second swim. Right on target you are - that is exactly what he wanted. I so agree on Lola: that she does! she succeeds too!

Re: 3/29 LOOSE LIPS: pools, pools, & rainbows! happy caturda

Thanks, Elsa for the coffee. It was desperately needed this morning!

William looks like he is rearing to go and give his big brother a run for his money. When Nicholas starts swimming lessons, will you have a chance to work with William?

Bummer on the Oso situation. I would think that no rebuilding would be allowed in that area even if contamination wasn't an issue. The geology of the area isn't safe. It's not just Washington, I see lots of examples everywhere in California. The 1972 Rapid City flood destroyed hundreds of homes and left over three hundred dead. The city didn't allow houses in the flood area after that and turned the flood plain into parkland and similar uses. Any further word on number still missing?

John

Re: 3/29 LOOSE LIPS: pools, pools, & rainbows! happy caturda

Hi John! I hope so with William, once Nicholas gets into lessons. it should free me up some. Paws crossed! if not, we will see what we can do for William. The thought is that Nicholas will be in a PT pre-school thing, I can take maybe take William to the pool when Nicholas is in "school". I could not agree with you more on the Oso situation, and rebuilding in general once there is a slide issue. Right you are that the geology just isn't safe. The flood area is bigger than the actual slide area, judging from a recent map I saw. Such a mess it all is. Any work there has been so hampered by relentless rains. I hope that is what will happen here too, that they will not rebuild. No word on that as far as I have heard. They have dropped the missing list number down to 30, a drastic drop from the 176 that it was. I think alot of the missing were due to people out of town, vacation residences etc, but don't know for sure. 18 confirmed dead tonight.
