Yesterday at Tricia's House of Chaos
Late condo again. Old habits die hard. I had to take our tax stuff to our accountant in Sac today, and hit a couple of pet stores on the way home to stock up on fuds the boys are eating right now. Yes, the boys are still eating, although Harvey did require some Ondansetron & Cypro to get him jump started this morning. I didn't get home until right before t/f/s. Sac traffic is just nasty.
Cinco's appy, while still much improved, slowed just a smidge this later today. But I was moved to tears this afternoon when I stood next to the sofa, watching him sleep (all stretched out and totally relaxed) and realized I could not hear him breathing.
Just a couple of days ago I could hear him from my desk chair, 15 feet away. Even better, when I set the bowl of food next to him, he woke up and turned to it, like he could smell it!

Truly, we are living a miracle. I don't know what the future holds for this little guy, but I am much more optimistic about it than I was a few short days ago.
I did have an e-mail from Dr. Moore first thing this morning, checking on him. She had looked at his spreadsheet and was concerned about the high numbers of the past few days. I told her that Cinco started the day eating like a little pig and that he delighted me with his yellow AMPS and blue +3.75. She responded that she was THRILLED to hear that, and then told me she had received a preliminary report from the pathologist, confirming the diagnosis of lymphoma.
She hopes to have the final report by our appointment on Thursday. If Cinco continues as he is doing now, we will start the chemo at that time. He has spent most of his day on the sofa, sleeping in all kinds of comfy positions, not once hunched up by the water dispenser.

Tonight makes six cycles on the current dose for both boys, and while we've seen improvement, we still aren't where we want to be, so tomorrow morning both will get dosecreases. I'll be home all day and night to monitor, so we'll see how it goes. I really want to get rid of those stinky pinkies altogether and see more blues, and maybe some greens. Is that too much to ask for???
Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans.
