More sunshine for the kitties!

I decided that I didn't have enough to do today so I hung a few pictures. I'm having a fireplace installed so I didn't want to start hanging all of my stuff on the walls since it was going to need to get moved around. There are a few spots that won't be affected so out came the hammer and picture hooks. The kitties decided to help! Gizmo was in the closet where my tool box is. He had to sniff everything. He scampered up the stairs to my office as I was hanging pictures on that wall. Gabby was more in watching and approving mode. She sat on the landing and watched and then joined me in the den.

I still can't get over how flooded with sunlight this place gets. The blue skies and sun and the quiet are just wonderful. I've got to find a fountain for the courtyard! The idea of opening the doors and hearing the sound of water seems idyllic.

Morning Sienne :coffee::coffee::coffee:

WooHOO! Look at Gabby go today. Love that +4 Gabby. :D:D:D

Nothing can beat sunlight that floods the interior of a home. My place is so shaded with big trees, but we do get, on sunny days, moments when the house fills with light. It is the best. I hope you get that fountain. We have a small pond with an even smaller waterfall, that is indeed idyllic. Love the sound of water!

nice on the pending fireplace install. I love roaring fires... Hope that goes well. I like your picture hanging helpers.

Have a great day today. And Gabby, you surf well!

Sienne, your new home just keeps sounding better and better. Kits seem to have really taken over, as it should be!

You'll love the fountain.

Gabby, hope you're planning a nice smooth surf at that +4.

Sounds great!! What kind of fireplace? wood-burning? gas? We have a wood-stove insert (Quadra-Fire) into what had been the original fireplace (house was built in 1922). It works great. Gas units are nice--and easy, but don't put out a lot of heat (in our experience) and tend to be gas guzzlers (also in our experience)

Have fun hanging pictures! Keep them out of the sun!!!

Yo Gabby, surf safe!

It will be gas. The neighbors aren't thrilled with a flue which I won't be able to see but they would stare at from their living room so I need something that's ventless. I think you're info may have been either dated or related to electric fireplaces. The gas units put out a good deal of heat.

All of my art is framed with UV protected glass! I collect vintage lithographs and it's the only way to preserve the quality of the ink.

Oh my, Gabby and Gizmo have a sun filled home, and a fireplace and fountain in their future! It's kitty paradise. Now, Gabby, about that +4:D:eek:

Your home sounds wonderful, lots of sun and fireplace, courtyard with a fountain!
Lucky kitties!

That courtyard sounds fantastic! There really is nothing like the sound of water flowing. Hope the fireplace install went well, did the kitties supervise that, too?

Sounds good. We had a gas stove with fake logs in a house we owned briefly. But I think we relied too much on it for heat because the main heat was electric base board! Good luck with the installation.
