Yesterday's Condo

ARGH! I was so proud of myself this morning. I got the right amount into the syringe on the first try. :-D Then I had to ruin it all by giving a fur shot! angry(2)_cat angry(2)_cat angry(2)_cat I don't know if any went in, but I know some didn't as I could smell it, and the fur was damp. Stupid, sleepy bean. I've been thinking dosecrease, but poor Cinco is not going to make any progress on any dose if he has an inept BIC who can't even get the stuff into him!!! :cry:

Harvey is fine this morning. Ate all his breakfast and begged for more. Obviously he was just loving on the Peace Lily and not chewing on it. It remains out of reach, however, just to be safe.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all the beans. :YMHUG:

I might as well try to go btb. I-)

Well, it looks like I got some insulin into him, after all. Thank goodness for that. :smile:

Meanwhile, Sasha didn't want her breakfast this morning, so while I had her sacked to give her the AB, I squirted some pepcid into her (only got about half in her, the rest on us!). Two hours later she ate half her breakfast. :-D An hour after that, it came back up! :o :YMSIGH: I'm more upset because I'm afraid the AB came up, too, but I can't tell for sure, since it had been in her a while. Honestly, if it's not one thing, it's another around here. What I wouldn't give for one day where everything just went smoothly!

Rain is predicted for the next week, which I wouldn't mind at all, except we have company coming next Thursday for several days, and I really need to get the lbs scrubbed. I just need about three hours of dry weather, with a little sun, please!!!!

I'm sorry it's a frustrating day at your house! Did you get a btb? I'm glad that Cinco is at least sliding down, hopefully any "missed" insulin will be covered by the depot :-D . And poor Sasha, I hope the AB stayed in and she feels better soon :sad:. I'm sending feel better vines to the kitties, and to you! At least Harvey is having a good day and is showing no plant chewing just loving?

I hope you get the dry weather/sunshine you want so you can get that LB chore done (yuck, not my favorite thing to do either). And that your day will improve :YMHUG:

Hi, Tricia, bummer on the fur shot, but it happens. And it looks like Cinco is doing well despite it :thumbup .
You definitely have your hands full ~ you're such an amazing bean for your furkiddos :YMHUG: .
Good luck with company coming and getting LB chores done ~ we're getting much-needed rain out here, too, but it sure is gloomy outside.
I hope Cinco continues coming down (safely, of course). Have a great Caturday!

PS: I love Cinco's new food set-up ~ the pic you posted yesterday is so cute :smile:

Thanks, Rachel and Josie. I guess I should look at the fact that Cinco's number came down as a sign that things are getting better (anti-jinx). He really is a trooper.

Josie, you are just 40 or so miles away, depending on what part of Sac you live in, so I'm not surprised it's rainy and gloomy there, too. Although there have been plenty of times when we've been dry and you've had rain, and vice versa! I can't complain too much, as I've been praying hard for rain for weeks. I guess I should have been more specific about timing! The company that's coming is my sister and two friends, and we're going to the Passport wine tasting weekend in ElDorado. We do it every year. The friends are coming from AZ, and they are going to be shocked by the cold, wet weather we're expecting! Luckily, they're all animal lovers. so will understand the crazy stuff going on here!

I hate fur shots!! But, looks like some got in :-D The picture of Cinco eating is adorable - and a good idea! Good thinking~
So glad Harvey is okay. That is so scary. I hope the rest of your day is smooth, and you get some sun for the LB cleaning :-D

Don't beat yourself up about the fur shot. We all do them. I once had three fur shots in a row. Furball got back on track pretty quickly. I'm sorry Sasha threw up. I hope she's feeling better now. I'm glad Harvey is okay.

Thanks, Carla and Jane. I know I'm not the only one that does fur shots, but my percentage is higher, since I don't do the shooting very often! I guess I could use that as my excuse, huh?

So obviously, not much insulin did go in, since he only went down to 214 and came up to 367 at PMPS. The good news is that I got it all in tonight! Yay me! :-D Then Cinco went back to the smallest cat box in the house and peed over the side again! :o What's the saying, "fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me?" In my defense, I was planning to scrub the boxes today and trade that box with a larger one from upstairs. But it rained all day, so scrubbing was postponed. :YMSIGH: So after he was done, I took the wet box and mat out, dumped the litter, and hosed both box and mat off. They'll be in the garage until I can actually scrub them. Luckily, we have a couple of extra boxes in the garage. They are not much bigger than that one was, so I put one of them upstairs and brought down the bigger one. Mopped the floor, put down pee pads, and viola! Problem solved, hopefully! ;-)

Sasha ate dinner enthusiastically. I'm hoping it stays down..... we'll see. I've gotten a lot done around the house today, including my workout (which I often skip on Saturdays, but the DH is away, so I might as well get some exercise). Now the cats are all fed and medicated and my dinner is in the oven. Time for a quick shower and relaxing with a glass of wine. Another wild Saturday night! :lol:

Wow what a day you had! I'm glad Cinco came down a little bit. A partial fur shot wouldn't have drained his depot much at all so hopefully he will start churning out those nice numbers again.

Poor Sasha. That's really a quandary when you think they got "some" med but don't know how much so you can't double dose her. Glad Harvey is ok!

Well done you for getting your exercise in. Sometimes when Mike is gone, I just decide to take a nap :lol:
