Happy appy, snuggly, spunky, feisty, and huge anti-jinxes. I skipped the b-complex last night - no spit up from Trix, and her appy was much, much stronger. I guess the b-complex doesn't agree with her...for now it's off her lengthy list of supplements and meds.

Petey hacked up a hairball overnight and today is feeling more like himself. He had me pretty worried yesterday...he usually doesn't have problems hacking up hairballs so I was getting worried that something else was going on.

I have to take my Mom to pick up her new hearing aids today, so I need to get moving. Prayers to all....

Amy

Thank goodness it was a hairball and it's out now. Glad to hear Miss Trix is doing better too. Wonder by the B-complex would upset her system. Have a good day Amy.

I read on some human homeopathic sites yesterday that b vitamins kick the digestive secretions into gear and the excess tummy acid from that can make you feel nauseated. They say to take the b-vitamins with food, and Trix did have some food in her belly when I gave it, but since she's a nibbler it wasn't "full meal" quantities. And, of course Trix already has excess tummy acid issues from the CKD. She gets Pepcid twice a day (max dose), but for her I guess it wasn't enough to counterbalance the b vitamins. I may try the b-complex again at some point, but for now, this MamaBean needs a break - yesterday was WAY too stressful.

Glad you figured out what was bothering her tummy! We have to be like forensic, don't we???
Ain't it the truth! I never would have thought b-vitamins would be an issue, although she did also have a negative reaction to b12 injections a couple years ago - first injection was fine, but the second one immediately made her dizzy and stumbly. Trix IS very, very sensitive to certain things, yet she can stomach antibiotics like a tank. Go figure (not complaining and anti-jinx!!!!).

I hope you've found the solution to the spit ups for Miss Trixie. I heard on another on line group about some cats going off appy with vit B, though I don't think it was a problem for Neko. One less med to pack is a bonus! ;)
