Good Morning, L&LL,
The LagoonMeister has abandoned the beach and gone mountain climbing! It's the first red number he's had in our 8 years here (although he may have had high numbers when he was diagnosed in 2008). Of course it's a bounce after a fur shot, coupled with NDW, and steroid-influenced, but that doesn't make it any easier to accept!
Rusty had a good night, ate most of his nighttime fuds, and has good breathing. Last night our "film society" was here (we watched Werner Herzog's 2017 film "The Queen of the Desert", a biography of Gertrude Bell, an adventurer and British spy in the middle-east before and during World War I. It was full of atmosphere. Rusty enjoyed watching the camels. He was fascinated. He ate all of his dinner sitting on my lap during the film and then wanted more food. I know it's the steroid that is influencing his appetite (and his more frequent peeing), but it's good to see him enthusiastic about food. ( And I hope that the dose increase will bring down his numbers to below renal threshold.)
Our ski yesterday turned out to be a snowshoe. Conditions would have been very difficult on skis. It was a longer day on snowshoes, but we had a great hike to a wilderness pond, where we ate our lunch beside huge cliffs and then returned via the same route.
Rain and much warmer here today. Beginning to think about paddling! Wishing all a good day,
