3/28 Luci AMPS 224

That was a big drop from AMPS to +2. Just curious if you are still feeding the curve early on?

Hey, Luci, how about trading the diving gear for a nice bathing suit with a pretty swim cap to float around in the lagoon?

Yep. I could tell she was dropping - she was getting up on the testing towel before test time! I offered more food but she didn't want to eat it...I gave her three tiny treats at 4+ - she got back into safe territory soon enough. :)

I'm thinking that with this little miss high diver, you have to get a +1 and if she is lower, then give her a little bit of LC food to help her not be so severe with her drops. At +4, with this little diver, it's too late. The idea is to level out the cycle so that the drops aren't too severe and she is set up again for another bounce. If we could prevent those bounces, she would stay in lower numbers longer.

See how last yesterday AM cycle she was a flat yellow? Then last night all blues? She was telling you that she was going to drop the next cycle. A +1 would have helped you to intervene the cycle. She was most likely lower at +1 ( remember, they don't usually start to respond to the insulin dose until around +2 or so). If she shows lower yet at +1, then some a little bit of LC food would help to soften that drop so another big old bounce would not happen.

She is just a sneaky kitty. I think I would always get a +1 on her to help you ward off these big old drops and bounces until you start to see her pattern.

That little stinker! Maybe you could steer her to the LC food? Just a thought?
I wish I could steer her to do anything...I actually had three kinds of LC food out there - her favorite Dr. Elsies, FF, and freeze dried chicken - she didn't want any of it...she was on a mission and wasn't having anything to do with all of my offerings... I ended up throwing all of that food out - it sat there half the day :( (I keep telling her how expensive it is)...she ignores me completely. :)
