KT is wanting grass now that everything's getting green - I have a bed of rye grass that I go pick and give him 3-4 pieces. Makes him a happy cat.

I want to apologize for evidently stepping outside the bounds of this website - I talked about the other things in our lives here as well as posting things from my photobucket but have been told that this is about the FD kitties only.

...and I thought I had found 'home'....no way will I ever talk about my 'life' in a 'Loose Lips' thread nor would anyone even WANT to read about it when things aren't going right.

Again, I apologize...
 
Hi guys .. sunny yellow for KT this morning! It's nice to see what just a few blades of grass will do for a little kitty huh? :-D I hope you realize this is still "home" for you and your gang .. and please, do post in the loose lips thread .. I love reading about all the rescues you have done, and enjoy seeing your photos!
 
Aw...I thought that was what the Loose Lips thread was created for...all things not "FD"

It saddens me that you can no longer think of your condo as your home. And I understand completely. KT cannot be discussed in a vacuum--separated from his environment, which includes all of his kitty and doggy sisters and brothers, just because he is the only one with FD in your household. You have made your LL condo into a beautiful home with your pictures of your lovely garden and your caring accounts of the rest of your family. We have all shared your joy and your sorrow. And to see KT as the "whole cat", we need to know all of the things that you have written about so eloquently. We need to know our cats as cats. In short, I agree with you and I, for one, hope that this new emphasis on trying to come to grips with the problems of FD to the exclusion of the many other things that are relevant to our kitties' lives will be short-lived. I don't see why we can't devote some time to The Whole Cat and his home life, too.

Serious problems are not difficult to get experienced eyes on: one need only put the problem in the subject line.

Loose Lips has its place, but it cannot substitute for the daily continuity of our individual condos. These are just my thoughts, but I think that many here share them.

Lyresa, don't despair. LL is your home. We are your family and we care.

Lyresa, I have to agree with Ella and would encourage you to continue posting in your condo as you have previously. LL is definitely more than a doctor's office (although the medical advice is very important). It's also emotional support in dealing with FD and what's happening with our kitties and part of that is getting to know the bean. Loose lips would be rather chaotic if all those conversations were in one condo.

What Ella and Liz said. This is the second condo I have seen recently that refers to being asked not to discuss things other than FD and it saddens me greatly :sad: How will we get to know each other and know when and how best to give extra support to each other if only the FD kitty is discussed? I have found LL, the way it has been, has helped to make the whole FD experience less frightening for me, we are our own community, we share in each others joys and sadness but without the extra bits and pieces of peoples lives I fear that the sense of community will not be as strong or will disappear completely. I have also enjoyed seeing your beautiful photos and we all know how much something that can make you smile is worth when things are rough.
 
(((Lyresa)))Your condo made me sad yesterday. I agree with what everyone else has stated. I've just gotten around to your condo lately (I'm a little slow in all areas :smile: ) and can see that KT is part of a whole picture with you and DH and all your furbabies. Sometimes things don't come out quite right as they should in writing and that's where the emoticons come in place. I hope to see you soon.
