Good day! It's TGIF...sort of! Chyna seems to be feeling ok...ignored her PM+6 last night (Evo of course) but ate the other two mini meals of Wellness Turkey, mostly, just some crumbs left. 2 BIG poos in last nights scooping. Still that pesky itchy ear but other than that looks to be a normal day in Chyna land. Mama beans going to work so it isn't a puuurrrfect day, but tomorrow she will have me home :-D

Could the itchy ear be ear mites? If so, you may need to get some ear mite treatment from your local store to take care of them. One of my civvies has that problem, and this morning I treated his ears. He hates it, but it sure helps to make him feel better. If it's something a bit more serious than that, then you may want to take Chyna to the vet and get them checked out (hoping that's just a regular ear mite problem).

Yeah for Day 11. Definitely exciting as Chyna progresses in her recovery. Bummer on the itchy ear. Hope that resolves quickly. :smile: :smile:

I'm not sure. The vet a month and a half ago said it was a bacterial infection and we used sinotic ear drops for two weeks and it worked...now she is back to scratching but just her right ear this time not both...she is only indoor so I got rid of all scented products and that helped as well. Just not sure what is causing it:( thanks for the nice vines and advice tho:)

Chyna is looking GREAT!!! Happy day 11 - looks like there might be an extra party happening on Easter.

Woooo! Almost there! Buster got itchy ears once - it turned out to be a bacterial infection like you guys experienced. It kinda looked like he had coffee grounds in his ears. Unfortunately, I thought it was mites and treated for that. I got his ears good and irritated by the time he got the right meds!

Thanks...I got home from work and we now have a swollen right ear at the top of the head crease and it looked like crusty pieces, just inflamed a bit in ripples, hard to explain where and what it is. I just cleaned it with salt water and put some polysporin on it, I don't know if that was right but of course it's a long weekend and the vet is closed tomorrow:( I don't know if she can scratch that far up...it's the section direct above her eye. The fur is (still) gone in places at the bottom of the back of the right ear too from scratching. I wish I knew if this was an allergy and to what! :cry:

Happy Day 11....but I'm sorry sweet Chyna's ear is bothering her! Yes, these things always happen at the worst times...sending healing vines to you and Chyna tonight!
