Shadow is still weirded out.
I would have expected it to be mostly worn off by now.
She didn't want to eat her usual friskies last night. She did eat half of a fancy feast appetizer this morning and then went and hid... found her under the bed
pretending to be a shoe.
And I just got up and gave her some turkey baby food with a raw shrimp cut up in it and she ate all but one bite.

Last night she was yowling so I got up and sat with her which stopped her yowling.
I'm guessing anxiety since she stopped.
I took her back to bed and closed the door so she would have to stay... she did get in bed at some point and conked out for a while. I remember groping her
with a "you are breathing, right?" feel.

I think she be trippin'.....
she never reacts well to any of it....
I hope today she can get back to a little normal.
These are low numbers for her.... since she went otj... her lowest number has been 81.

Hi Rhiannon. I hope the drugs clear out of Shadow's system soon so she can get back to normal again.

found her under the bed pretending to be a shoe.
That's too funny

Have a great day.

Re: 3/27 Shadow ambg 69

Poor Shadow. I hope this phase is very temporary.
Recover quickly, my dear, so you don't have to be trippin' anymore.

I laughed at the 'pretending to be a shoe,' too.

Give her some scritches from us!

Hi Rhiannon, Sending healing vines out to your girl and hoping that she starts feeling better soon. Kismet doesn't do well with anesthesia either. The only time he was put under was for his alteration surgery, and he was weird for two days after.

That's a gorgeous AMBG, though! Paws crossed she continues this trend with green numbers, and paws crossed that she adjusts well to the meds.

Re: 3/27 Shadow ambg 69

called vet to give them $$.

and status report...
they told me the anesthesia takes longer to wear off as they get older....
i think the dark made her a little more off... because she's been fine since I'm sitting with her all morning ....

i don't blame her....
i'm about to have surgery here soon too and it's supposed to be really bad the first week afterwards. :YMSIGH:
getting my nose roto rootered ( well that's basically the procedure   ) since my nose passageway is
about the diameter of a coffee stirrer on good days....

Re: 3/27 Shadow ambg 69

Hi Rhiannon & Shadow,

I hope that the anesthesia is totally out of Shadow's system soon and that she will be feeling really good by this evening. But the best thing is: "no cavaties"!! Really nice ambg this morning, even it it is probably related to the anesthesia. Hang on to those nice green numbers, Shadow!

Your upcoming surgery does not sound like fun!! Have you tried those breathing strips that athletes use?

Full Moon Party tonight, Shadow. Don't forget!

Hi Rhiannon,

It takes them few days for recovery, they recover faster than us though, so try to comfort her thats all what you can do now.

try spoon feeding her, they love the attention sometimes. hope she gets better soon so have have some time to rest before having your operation too.

prayers and quick recovery vines. I feel you

Re: 3/27 Shadow ambg 69

I hope Shadow recovers quickly and gets over the affects of the anesthesia soon. I hope your surgery goes well.

Re: 3/27 Shadow ambg 69

Hi Rhiannon, I hope Shadow soon gets back to feeling good and normal. I remember last dental Mags was trippin pretty good, too, stayed up all night patio patrol, pupils so enlarged. So glad Shadow didn't have any cavities.
Good luck and vines on your upcoming surgery.

Slowly but surely Shadow seems to be getting back to normal.
Her eyes almost look normal.
I guess the real test will be if she starts yowling again tonite...

Her numbers are still low for herself but I'm enjoying seeing them anyway even if they are from anesthesia.

It took awhile for Chyna to get the anesthetic out of her system too, it freaked me out a bit that it lasted longer too. I had to put clothes all over her cat tree and high places so she couldn't get up on them, since she was so wobbly and thought she was a kitten to jump all over  but it wore off finally:) I'm hoping Shadow is feeling much better tonight:) Hope your surgery goes well too...ouch on the roto rootered! :o
