Good morning FDMB family!!!

We're off to another good start today! Sasha woke me up by biting my toes, stepping on my head, meowing in my face for food...love it!!! (who would've thought?)   He ate about 2 and a half cans of Fancy Feast so far today.

Last night I came home from work completely exhausted and fell asleep on the couch. I woke up to him zooming around the house crashing into things, tail all fluffed up and playing like crazy. It felt so awesome to see him like that again. dancing_cat

I held off on the fluids because his litterbox looked great..he's also eating very well. Yesterday he had about 20 oz of food... he really prefers his low carb Fancy Feast over the Wellness, I'm not going to complain as long as he's eating!

He's also KETONE NEGATIVE!!!!

I called a place yesterday to inquire about a dental. This place specializes in animal dentistry. I figure I will take him for one once he's finished with the Baytril. I was quoted a price of $500-700 dollars for just a general cleaning. Does this sound right to anyone?

Okay have a great day, hugs to you and all of your furbabies!!!! :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

No help on the cleaning $ since we haven't had to have one yet.

Great to hear that Sasha is feeling great! That makes all of this worthwhile! Have a great day!

Hi Tara. I'm so glad to hear Sasha feels good. :-D

That price is higher than it is around here, because I live in a rural area. I'm sure it costs more in any city.
I'm no help, am I? :-D

Morning Tara, what a great report on Sasha, especially the appy and the amount of FF he's eating. Way to go, Sasha! It sounds like he's flying high there, and I wonder what's in that FF? The price for the cleaning is a bit high, but for the area it might be normal.
ETA - I just saw where it is a place specializing in dentistry. In that case, the price seems about right.

Hi guys .. I LOVE this condo report on sasha! So glad to read all about his improvements! We took mocha to a dental specialist and she had 8 teeth extracted (including her upper canines, plus she was already missing one up front) and for everything it was just about $1200.00 .. The dentist wasn't in a big city, quite country to be exact, but she specialized in dentistry.

YAY for Sasha!! So great to hear him feeling well! This makes me so happy!!!

I think that price for a dental is probably pretty reasonable. I had Gus in for two extractions and a cleaning and the bill was $1800 but I did pay $600 for an anesthesiologist. I think the cleaning alone would have run about $600.

Thank you everyone!!! I called around and basically got the same price quote...gonna have to save up before I bring the little guy in for a dental. But he's got 4 more weeks to go on the Baytril...ughhhh (the worst part of his day) and so that will give me some time to make some $$$$!!! :-D

My neighbor that's stopping in to feed him at +6 called and said he ate 2 more cans of Fancy Feast!!! :-D I am so glad he's eating and hoping he'll put some weight back on!!!

Okay I will see you guys at PMPS! Hope everyone's having a great day!!!
