Good luck with the dosecrease, Julie.
I know he has a dental on Tues. Do you know already if he has a problem? Check's bg came down a lot, when he had a few nasty teeth removed, a few years back. I knew however, that he was in pain.

Julie, you're description of the dental tartar didn't gross me out, 'cause I saw it on my dog.
One day I was horrified to see what looked like the whole side of his molar, separated from the tooth, and just sticking out sideways. Turned out to be tartar, that had come away from the tooth, and was hanging by the gum. That was when I learned that pets need dentals too.

Good luck with the new dose and I am very interested in how the dental goes with Punkin on Tues. That is the next step for Simon once he finishes his antibiotics for his UTI.

he'll be thrilled to be going to the vet's, and on top of that, to have people poking around his mouth. :lol: i know it's a good thing teeth-wise, but i sure hope it helps his BG too.
interesting that he's now at +8 and it's the lowest so far today. I've wondered that a couple of times lately - he was hitting the nadir about +5 and lately it seems to be later. not sure what that's about.

Hope you can get some sleep tonight. I'm trying to stay awake for a couple more hours to do a +4 on my girl. She had unexplained highs and lows today, so I'm trying to figure out why. Of course, it doesn't help that they mask their symptoms...

i have no idea if i should check him again in another hour or not. he's 80 at +6 . . . so basically the same for the past hour. think i need to wait a little longer, or maybe i'll set an alarm and sleep for a few minutes.
