Yesterday Neko had an awesome blue surf day which had followed a green night, so of course she bounced in the evening. ohmygod_smile She doesn't seem to be able to handle more than 2 good cycles in a row.

Today continues where yesterday's bounce left off. I'm hoping this is a pink slide to something better. It's another sunny day with a bit of high cloud. Both cats are again parked in the solarium, although Neko did have one quick yard patrol this morning. Neko really does love her basket in the solarium. Last night as we went to bed she was curled up in a tight little ball inside it. It's just a 3 season solarium, so it does get colder out there. But with the almost full moon, it was almost like daylight in there.

Today's shot was a bit challenging. Neko was antsy to go outside and rushed to the downstairs door. I followed her with syringe in hand. Just as I put it in, DH came clumping in with his boots on and Neko jumped. So I settled her down and got it the second go round. There is something about loud shoes that sets both cats off. I had a friend visit the other day who was wearing heels, and the sound of heels on hardwood was enough to get them ready to go under the bed. :lol:

Hey Wendy. It looks like Neko is ditch the bounce and back to beautiful blue. Sorry about the clomping boots/heels and jumpy kitties. No clip clopping at Wendy's house! hope it's a nice blue night. mary and ollie

HI Wendy......Neko doesn't like clunking, clicking shoes? Awwww, I wonder what she thinks, when she hears them.
I hope she surfs this gorgeous blue for you tonight! :-D

Oh boy on the shoes! DH accidentally freaks out Leo sometimes with his sneezes or walking around or even talking sometimes! So when I have Leo on my lap and am ready to test him, I always tell DH - "hold on, I'm testing Leo" even if he isn't saying anything, just in case! Rats on the bounce but yay for BLUE!

Little brat cat (aka Neko) just stole 2/3 of Theo's dinner! With the raw food, I portion out tomorrow morning's and tonight's food into plastic Ziploc containers. I was getting their +9 snack ready (mostly zero carb, Theo gets 1/3 of his dinner, Neko gets 1tsp) when Neko hopped up on the counter, leaned in and grabbed Theo's rest of dinner from the container! :twisted: I barely got the wax paper out of her mouth in time. :lol: Not sure how I'm going to portion a 1/3 of dinner into 4 servings tonight for her. That's the down side of raw, if it isn't thawed, it isn't ready to go. I'm thawing out a small bit of Nature's Variety now, but might have to go to a backup can of food.

@Mary - I'm glad to see the back to blues. The noises are what cats are used to. We so seldom wear shoes in the house they aren't used to it. Sensitive little ones. :roll:

@Barb - Neko probably thinks loud shoes are the first signs of thunder, her ultimate nemesis. :lol: Paws crossed for the blues, but not sure what that early installment on dinners is going to do. :evil:

@Lisa - I should have asked DH to be quiet, but I got him up to put the garbage out and didn't feel like getting after him. We'll see if that blue holds.

Hi guys,
Nice descent today, Neko. Don't forget the Full Maple Sugaring Moon Party tonight!

Wendy, I think that many of us have that problem when a DH, oblivious to what is going on, suddenly appears making noise. And it always happens just before a test, it seems. Oh well, not much harm is ever done.

Have a lovely evening. Your moonlight last night sounded beautiful. We are overcast, so I don't think we'll see the moon. But the kitties all know it's there!

Nice slide to blue for Neko today. I hope the early "snack" doesn't make her go up at PMPS time.

Nice slide down for Neko today. Tarragon is like that with loud noises. It always has to happen at shot time. Have a great night Wendy!

I better not make any comments about DHs but I have had to learn to sit quietly in my recliner while Anne does the evening TFS. :roll: :lol: Keep up the blue streak, Neko.

Thank goodness for working pancreases! In spite of getting an early part of her dinner, she didn't go too high. However, to follow up, when I stroked her after her shot, there was a little moisture. Sigh! Hoping it was just the insulin on the outside of the syringe. There was a bit as I tried to get rid of the bubbles.

@Nancy - Neko was probably on the yellow floor at +6 too. She nadirs later a lot.

@Ella - Neko is looking forward to the party tonight, especially the food! :lol: I, like most of us, probably get really focused when doing the TFS, so any interruption is a surprise. Oh well, like you said, no harm done.

@Carla - There doesn't seem to have been much of an impact from the "snack". Her normal early snack is 1tsp of 1%. This one is more like 3-4%. :YMSIGH:

@Melissa - Neko's pretty good at the pink to blue slides. I guess we all have a bunch of scaredy cats. :lol:

@Liz - Close to blue, might be impacted by the food, at least it was 3 hours before the shot. I've learned to keep quiet if DH is testing and I'm around. Especially no comments on technique! :lol:
