His numbers are looking better, but I have a feeling we're already moving past a .25u increase to perhaps a .5u increase. I probably waited too long to start this last increase and I think it's overlapping into another one of his growth spurts, but at least he's slowing down a bit and it's not as rapidly changing as the first four months.

Henry T. will get Mikey-Mike hooked on his first lick of beer.

My younger brother corrupted me, he had his fake ID and was sneaking into bars even before I got around to using my real ID.

Younger brothers are great for corrupting. Honestly, if it weren't for my brother, I'd probably be an agoraphobic, OCD-consumed, paranoid recluse.

Isn't 2.13 the same as f2.00? Are the 2.13 entries actually the full 2.25? More iPhone auto-correct? I agree about the 43 on the Micro.

I've discovered that if I slide him through 3 stages before arriving at the final dose, he does much better (doesn't drop too low, causing a supposed dose decrease), so the numbers are somewhat meaningless in the sense that they signify what stage of the dose increase I'm at. A "fat" is where I move the plunger just a tad down the dosage line and a "skinny" is a tad up from the next dose. A ".13" or ".88" is where it's a tad further down from the previous "fat" dose but a tad further up from what would be the next dose's "skinny."

As you can see from that 43, even just moving from a "fat" to a ".13" (or it could be residual from the increase to the "fat") is enough to send him low! He seems to be hypersensitive to dose changes.

I can only think of one of mine who would stop for air before attempting to gobble the entire 4oz bag at once. No sharing or squirreling away for later. Chip likes to bury food for perhaps several reasons. But even he likely wouldn't stop on those until they were gone. At least not if they have carbs.

I'm only assuming they didn't eat it all in one sitting because neither of them had any diarrhea or vomitting. With 3oz missing, even if they both managed to consume half of that all at once, I'm sure one of them would have had a little stomach upset!

Not sure why he's so high at his +5. I can only assume he had an early nadir again or that he might have a later nadir. I hate that his nadir is sometimes unpredictable because on the days I can only get one midday test in, I have no idea if he ever hits any blues or greens.

I also hate my local Rite Aide. These are the same people who charge ~$10 for a sharps box, which I no longer use, anyway. I learned from one of the vet techs (who also happens to be diabetic herself) that you can put the needle cap back on the syringe and just twist off the needle portion. Toss the used syringe in the trash, toss the covered needle tip in an empty milk or juice jug, and then toss that separately when it fills up.

Anyway, back to the Rite Aide story. This is the closest pharmacy to my house so I stopped off there today at lunch because I ran out of syringes this morning. (I thought I still had another bag left. ) The pharmacist tells me that she can't sell me any syringes without a prescription. I ask about that "30 syringes" law in California and she says she's never heard of that. Then she asks who it's for. When I tell her it's for my diabetic cat, she says she's never heard of anyone getting medicine from a human pharmacy and I need to get it from the vet's. :? Seriously, I know pharmacists are supposed to be well-educated, but they're worse than vets with their lack of information! It's like once they get a degree, they decide to stop learning anything new! :YMSIGH: Now I have to go out of my way after work to pick up his syringes over by where I'm supposed to be going already tonight after Mikey's PMS is due just so I can get his PMS in on time tonight. Stupid Rite Aide.

And because this was too funny to not share: yesterday morning, I woke up to the cats rough-housing on my bed. Michelangelo was being particularly bothersome and when I looked to see what the heck was going on, he was chomping on my comforter! He'd grab a mouthful and then pull on it! I had no idea why he was doing that until Henry darted under the covers (again  ) and Michelangelo jumped right to the spot where he went under and pulled up on the comforter with his mouth again; he was trying to get to Henry! haha_smiley

That's what I did, I had 3 doses for every quarter unit. And it kind of evolved as I went along. Now I'm back to one notch in between, with some minor adjustments.

I'm almost out of Terumo syringes, so I'm likely going to try Relions for a while with the calipers. It's a hassle to have to order $100 from ADW, but not cost effective to pay shipping on syringes.

So instead I can pay sales tax at Walmart.

Better Henry T. than Kay P.?

I've found that the key to being under the comforter with cats above, use a comforter just thick enough not to lose blood when you shuffle, shift or twitch. ohmygod_smile
