His morning Christie, yes I do still feed the Instinct Rabbit. He is just picky and won’t eat it everyday now. It has helped his GI problems along with the Budesonide. Before that he ate mostly chicken or turkey and had terrible diarrhea. Now, he even gets constipated sometimes and I have to give him some lactulose. He seems to tolerate the grain free turkey also. He can even eat some chicken (his favorite) if I don’t give him much of it.Nice to see some greens last night, today's start is pretty good. Ease on down Max. I was going to ask, are you still feeding the Instinct Rabbit?
I know it is frustrating when he gets picky. I have tons of cat food in Max’s pantry lol. He eats the original instinct rabbit which is 6%, but the turkey is the limited ingredient so that may be higher in carbs. Hadn’t thought of that! I was guessing it would be close to same as the rabbit. I’ve gotten so confused with trying to get him something he can eat! The Budesonide has helped so much so far so I do give him Weruva sometimes as well. You know, I can’t find how many carbs are in the Instinct limited ingredient grain free turkey though. I’m trying to figure that out right now.Gotcha, I remembered the IBD, and had wondered about the Instinct Rabbit since they have the original which is 6% carbs and the Limited Ingredient which is supposed to be 13%. It's so hard when they get picky, both of mine do that on occasion![]()
Okay thanks for letting me know the carb count on that turkey. I was trying to find the formula on how to calculate it because I couldn’t find it listed, unless I overlooked it. Trying to navigate Max’s issues is like putting a puzzle together and it’s a different puzzle every day! Thank you Christie, if you get anymore ideas let me know, but that is helpful info you gave me! I’m open to trying anything.Lol me too! My pantry rivals the selection of my local pet supply store! The LID turkey comes in at around 7% unless they have changed the formula recently. That was one of the things I was pondering yesterday, whether trying some higher LC might keep him a little flatter. Looks like you are already doing that. Some kitties seem to prefer a little higher LC vs. The foods in the 1-3% but as you know ECID. It's more difficult to play around with carbs if you have to watch for proteins that might trigger those tummy issues.
Oh okay! I was working on that formula and only have a couple of sips of coffee on board right now…needless to say, that ain’t working haha. Math and no coffee, dumb idea. Thanks for that Christie, and anything else you might think of! Have a great Sunday. You're welcome! I'll put my thinking cap on and see what else might come up! They grouped it under "Nature's Variety"![]()
Thanks! I hope your little guy Mav is doing okay since he had some teeth extracted. Give him a nice tummy rub for me!Lol yes indeed, it’s way too early in the morning to be using the carb calculator
