Morning ~O) I'm in a bit of a rush as Mags has an early appt. at 8 am to get her blood pressure med checked. She has been on Amlodipine for 10 days, and Vet needs to see how she's doing on it. This is a Technician visit, so I'm not sure if I'll be seeing a Vet this time, but will be talking with him after he has her readings. Mags is a sunny yellow. I'm beginning to notice that when she eats more Evo than usual, it causes a spike.
Looking forward to Mannie's coffee.
Prayers and vines for Michelle & Mannie and all kitties needing them.

Detective Poo, so glad you saw that Mags heard you and did gave the rest of "the whole shebang" yesterday. :lol: :lol: Mags worked overtime yesterday in the poo department, so I think today is a free day. I overdid it a bit on the Miralax but better this way than getting blocked, under the circumstances.

A nice day yesterday with those numbers, Miss Mags, and a good start to the day. A blue is coming soon, right? I hope the vetty visit doesn't drive her high. I'm glad Mags gave the whole shebang yesterday! :lol: :lol: :lol:

She woke up chatting away! I was not expecting this drop, but i think the AMPS was an EVP spike.

Hi Lisa, thanks on Vetty visit. She's usually very calm on the outside! I know on "the whole shebang"! She went right in the LB after Detective Poo's post.

I just gave Evo since this seems to cause a little spike. Looks like she will surf safe numbers.

Thanks Michelle for the Vetty vines. Mags is so good at the Vet it makes things easy for me and the Technicians like it, too. Mags did good with the whole shebang yesterday. :lol:

I saw that Maggie gave you prezzies yesterday ~ good job, Mags!!

There seems to be a pattern w/LL-ers who note that there are spikes with certain foods that are low-carb/low-phos. (like wellness, cowboy cookout, evo...) Have you noticed this? I wonder what's in those fuds that cause spikes... Food for thought :lol: .

We're back from Vetty blood pressure check-up, and it doesn't look like Mags was affected by Vetty stress.
This was a Technician doing the b/p, so I don't have the average until the Vet calls me. Her regular Vet is out today, but the other Vet will take a lool. She saw this Vet for her kidney infection. The Technician did say her numbers are much better this time than the last, so that's good news. Will let you know further when the Vet called.

Detective Poo, you won't believe this, but Mags got a butt wash at Vetty, too. She was starting to have a little poo right there on the table. I think it was a little bit of scared/stressed. She's all comfy now in her little bed on the sofa.

Hi Josie, b/p checkup went well. Yes, definitely some of the lower phosphorus problems do cause a spike I guess with higher carbs. Cowboy Cookout is one that cause a spike.



Hi Pat & Raja & Shadow, oh :lol: :lol: you caught me. I was in a hurry this morning and didn't think anyone would notice I didn't do a yesterday link. I should have known you might catch me on it! :lol:

Hi Courtney, thanks for the visit. I think Mags was upset with me waking her from her nap and dragging her to Vetty. :lol: I wish I had a little shower for her.

Ann, sorry I have been MIA lately. Nice numbers for Mags today despite the vetty visit. I hope her report is good. Too funny on the 2nd butt washing. How embarassing, Miss Maggs. Very unladylike to go right there on the table! I gave Simon a buttwashing the other day. He hasn't had to have one in awhile and you should have heard him screaming. He sounded like such a big baby!

I did get out and about and when I came home, Mags was waiting by the door. She has been chatting away, not happy with me dragging her to Vetty and then the poo accident in front of someone. :lol: This wasn't really a genuine poo, just a sampler I guesss of what's to come! I need to tweak the Miralax. She doesn't seem to need as much as I've been giving her.

Hi Ann & Tess, I never thought of it, but it may have been Mags's way of saying "don't even think if giving me another one of those enemas!" :lol:

Hi Georgia, I've missed you, too. Mags is hanging in there. I sort of fudged and gave her some food when I returned home, so i may have messed up her cycle. She was starving.

Hi Ella, Mags said she will be there with bells on for the Full Maple Sugaring Moon Party. I guess no more Green Kini for now!

Hi Ann.....how nice that Miss Mags isn't affected by vet trip. Heck, even my bp rises at the doc's office.
How embarrassing for a lady, to have an accident at the doc's.....even a sampler :lol:
Guess you won't know results until tomorrow?

I see Maggie is gonna wear her little blue dress to the party tonight. She looks pretty in blue :-D
 
I'm glad everything went well with the vet visit and that it didn't effect Maggie's BG. I hope you get a good report on her BP.
 
Great new about Maggie's BP! It seems odd that they just could't give you the number without a doctor having to analyze it, but at least they did tell you it was better! Poor little girl and the sampler accident...our sweet kitties are such troopers for all they put up with!
