Hi, As you can see, Maggie Manx is on a roll this morning with good numbers. I was so so tired last night that I didn't even make it to post her PMPS, and I haven't updated my SS yet! I'm doing laundry in between testing. I gave Maggie some FF turkey & giblets after the 100 bg, so as not to drop too much. It acts as a mc with her. Gosh I almost hate to change meters with so much data on the ATrak, but it was just getting so expensive. My Vet will wonder...what the heck is going on? I will have to explain.

Thanks everyone for visiting yesterday and for opinions on meters. Thank you Karrie, Celi, Ella and Christie for your opinions on the Relion Micro and Relion Confirm. And thanks Ella & Rusty for the link on Freestyle Lite and Strips. There are some great prices on ADA compared to local drug stores. It sounds out of all the meters you've tried, FreeStyle Lite is the best one for you. Thanks again.

good morning! maggie is looking awesome today!

i didn't see your condo yesterday, but we're using the freestyle lite and i like it pretty well. cheapest strips i've found are at Hocks - 50 for $28. it does draw up just a tiny bit of blood, and it also gives you a couple of minutes if you start to draw in blood but don't have enough to test. i've had to repoke and finish, and there's enough time to do that if you don't dawdle.

Morning to you Maggie Do Lou and I have the micro and confirm they were my first meters but I just soooo love the freestyle lite its my daily meter I have the alphatrak too wish I could use it daily but like you said if you test a lot the cost is just way too much wish Abbot would bring the price down a bit on those I keep mine as a reference if I am doubting a meter. I recently bought the wavesense presto to try its very affordable but it was inconsistent with readings soo..... its in the meter drawer now along with many others I have way..... to many meters nice +3 for Maggie today

What a +3!!!! Nice. What ever you decide on the meter it will work for you. I just wouldn't get one that needs the larger blood drops.

Thank you Julie for your advice on the Freestyle Lite - a lot of you really love it and not bad cost for the strips either!
Hi Lisa & DoLou, thanks for your opinion on the Relion Micro and Confirm. It sounds like we all have tried different brands, and the FreeStyle is popular with so many!
Hi Karrie, yes, a small drop is the most important, as their ears do get sore, and lately Maggie is jerking when I get ready to poke.

Happy Sunday to you both! Good Luck with your meter switch, I know it is a bit nerve wracking when you have all your data to date with one meter, but I think it will be a good switch for you two. Have a great day & not too much fun doing laundry :lol:

Hi Ann, I missed your condo yesterday but am very curious to go back and see what all the comments were about the different meters. I was looking at a couple different Relion meters at Walmart yesterday and wasn't sure which one would be the better one so thanks for asking the question and maybe I can figure out what I need to buy next. Maggie is looking great today and how awesome to see a kitty snoring away while it soaks up the sun. Very nice. Have a good night guys.
 
Hi guys! I love meter condos... whatever you do do not buy the Infinity - that was my nightmare meter, and good riddance to it. It will read 20% higher than most other meters. I have heard good thing about the freestyle lite - very well received by folks here. You may want to check out ADW (American diabetes wholesale) as they have very nice prices.

nice numbers for Maggie today. I am sorry that I am so late visiting folks today. I love the snoring sounds as she sleeps.

We are off the NYC to visit Rusty and play and do all kinds if stuff. we need to get Rusty to the Met so he can sing his opera, and to central park, and the carriage rides, and well - my personal fav: hot dogs (!!!) from the street vendors.
