Yesterday at Tricia's House of Chaos

Dosecreases all around this morning. Too early to say for sure, of course, but so far so good. Harvey kind of threw me with that low yellow preshot, but DH didn't wimp out and the dosecrease went ahead as planned. Paws crossed we see some better numbers out of both of them!

Cinco ate all of his t/f/s meal, and has been grazing on his +4 meal all morning, with my adding a spoonful here and there to keep it fresh. I haven't offered baby food yet, but I'm contemplating it, as I haven't gotten all his supplements into his food yet. I think he sounds like a little more air is getting through, but it's so hard to tell. He is not laying by his water dish and he seems a bit more alert, getting up every 10-15 minutes for one more bite of food and a sip of water. Four pee pads changed so far today. I'm a little nervous about a poo - will it be loose and messy like yesterday? :eek:o_O Hope not. I gave him another capsule of Forti Flora and his usual squash in his breakfast. He got a good, long rubdown with the Zoom Groom and seemed to really enjoy it the way he used to - the past few days he's only seemed to enjoy it for a minute or two, but he really got into it this morning. I may be grasping at straws, but I'll take every little positive sign I can get!

Harvey ate most of his t/f/s meal but didn't want his breakfast, so I gave him some Ondansetron and Cypro. It kicked in after about an hour, and he hasn't stopped eating since! :) His left eye was half-open for a while and he was pawing at it. I cleaned the gunk out of the corner of his eye and rubbed it very gently before I gave him his eyedrops and it seems to be better now. I'll be watching that closely. His next Ophthalmology appointment isn't until April 13th, but I'll call them if I see any more signs it's bothering him. One more thing to :nailbiting: about.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. Happy Easter to all who celebrate.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Looks like the dosecrease is helping all around!! Harvey is at least on the shore and can see the lagoon and Cinco is closer to the beach than he has been!!

Good to hear that he enjoyed his Zoom Groom too!! Hopefully he's taking a turn for the better!!

Sending appy vines for Cinco .....and some "firm poop" vines too!!

Thanks, Chris. Just checked Harvey, in case the Hoover level appy was more than just the meds - he almost made it to the water! He might have even stuck his toe in, between tests! :) Much better.

As for Cinco - 3/4 jar of baby food dispatched in about 3 minutes! :woot: My hopes for an Easter miracle are still alive.

It's been such a rough week for you Tricia. I'm glad to see that the boys are both eating though. I was so happy to read that today!:)

Certainly looking better and eating better too....that's a good day for sure! Keeping your boys in our thoughts and prayers. Cute picture!

Thanks for stopping by, everyone. Cinco finished off that jar of baby food and has been grazing on his dinner. I think he's getting tired of the Dave's Turkey & Giblets. I ran out of small cans and opened a big one this morning. Harvey doesn't like it, so Cinco's gotten it all day. I may have to offer him a different flavor tonight to get him eating more. He just got up on the sofa - first time today! :) Not liking that PMPS, but I guess I need to readjust my thinking now that he's on Pred. We may have to go up in dose a few more times before I start seeing numbers I like. :arghh:

Harvey wasn't real enthused about his dinner (even though it was FF), but he just now went over and ate about 75% of it. Guess he gave up hope I was going to offer him something else! :p His eye hasn't seemed to bother him since this morning, which is a big relief. I'll keep watching it, though. I don't want the glaucoma to get out of control like it did with Cinco.

I had a fairly lazy day - worked on assembling everything to get our taxes done :blackeye::confused:, watered my plants (I have a lot of houseplants) and visited condos. My fitbit is going to think I passed out or something! :p No grand plans for dinner - just the two of us, so leftovers are just fine. I do miss the big family holiday meals, but we don't have any family nearby anymore.

I hope you all had a very blessed Easter.

I'm glad to hear better reports for both your boys. Keep on chowing down. Cinco and Harvey!

Had to laugh at your comment about your Fitbit. Even though I walk over to my mom's ALF every day from sisters house, it's only ten minutes and then we sit and sit and sit all day until I walk back. My activity summary this week is going to be very ugly.

Hugs...and prayers.

Tricia, I too am so glad Cinco is eating.
And that he enjoyed his ZoomGroom session.

Sending more appy vines and feel better vines for both your boys.

Thanks for visiting us tonight, Anne, Marje and Mariko. Cinco just finished his second jar of baby food. He also polished off the rest of his dinner and had a few bites more of cat food (I'm keeping his bowl full). :) His numbers came down nicely, even though it's still pink. o_O

Harvey, on the other hand, is pulling a Cinco. He went up instead of down. :( I gave him the sniff test, and I don't smell insulin. o_O He still hasn't eaten his dinner. I gave him some more Ondansetron and Cypro, but apparently he didn't swallow the gelcap, as I found the Ondansetron on the floor next to his bowl. I shoved it down his throat  Don't know if the Cypro went down or not. :banghead:

Good to hear appy's are improving at THoC. :bighug: Ongoing shipments of vines on their way. You've probably got a little NDW in there - paws crossed for better numbers tomorrow.

Thanks for visiting us, Ruth and Wendy. NDW, yes, that's it! That's what I'll blame Harvey's numbers on! Thanks!! ;)

The good news is that he finally ate. I guess the Cypro did go down, and maybe the Ondansetron on the second try. I gave him a second flavor of FF and he ate it all, then he started on the first one. Meanwhile, Cinco had a nice serving of that (the second FF flavor), too. :) I fell asleep in my desk chair, reading condos, and missed +6. Guess I need to head for bed.
