Yesterday's condo

Today arrived noisily and wet. Thunder and rain most of the night and after all the "fun" of moving stuff yesterday, the knee just wasn't going to cooperate for a 5 hour drive, so I cancelled my appointment and rescheduled for Monday.

Considering China's numbers, I'm glad I did! Really wasn't expecting a green +6 at all, but when I gave her shot this morning, something felt a little "off"...like it took a fraction of a second longer than it should have to push the plunger, so I have to wonder if I got a syringe who's lines were off. At that hour of the morning, it's hard enough to get my eyes to focus on those little lines...especially when they keep moving....LOL

China's being very purry today, and I love it. I always adore it when she's in the mood to purr since it's not very common for her. She's also being very cute and rolling back and forth on the floor...I think the old saying is that they're worth $100 for each time they roll over?...or is that horses??...well anyway, she's up to about $900 :lol:

She also is eating better! Still not "normal", but better so I'm happy to see it. The only bad thing is that I'm down to my last 3 medallions. I would have gotten more if I'd gone to my appointment today, but our PetCo on the other side of the Lake is carrying it now, so I can run over there instead (but I don't really feel like doing that either) At least that's only an hour away

Really, $100 every time they roll over? How do you cash in? That would certainly put a dent in the vet bills and cost of fuds, treats and meds! :lol:

China must have heard you cancel your appt and figured that gave her permission for a dip in the lagoon. :mrgreen: Keep it safe, China!

Sending appy vines for China and healing vines for your knee. I'm not surprised it's bothering you, after all you've been up to lately! Take it easy today!

BTW, when I say I'm going to "run over" someplace, I am never talking about an hour drive! You must be out in the sticks!

That's a long drive for fuds! I hope it goes ok and doesn't hurt the knee too much. If you find out how to cash in for that rolling over thing, I'd like to know so I can too :lol: . It's good that your sweet girl is purring away and eating well. Hope you're having a nice Fursday! :razz:

I am happy to hear that China's appetite is improving and that she was a purry happy girl. Nice cycle today. An hour drive for food? what we do for these kitties.

Chris, try to take it a little bit easy on your knee. do you go to physical therapy?

Maybe if there was a little extra juice this morning, it will kickstart China into better numbers. Sometimes a little increase works like that for Furball. I hope your knee is feeling better.

Tricia, yeah, I'd love to cash in...the fuds bill was kind of painful, especially since it's the end of the month..both the cupboard and the bank account were bare!!

Rachel and Tricia..it's not so much that I live in the sticks as the fact there's a huge lake between me and Petco and since I don't own one of those cool cars that can also work as a boat, I figure I'd better take the long way around and stay on the road....LOL

Catherine, no physical therapy but it's not because I couldn't use it. My insurance only covers PT if it's done someplace that has a doctor overseeing therapy and although the nursing home DM is at has a GREAT PT department, the closest place my insurance will pay for it is on the other side of that same lake I was telling Rachel and Tricia about. Driving an hour each way to PT kind of defeats the purpose. I've got some exercises I'm supposed to do though

Carla, I think I'm going to go ahead and increase her to a fat 1.5 and take advantage of it. If it'll get her in better numbers, I'm all for it and since today was the first green we'd seen in a long time, it was probably best to go ahead and increase her anyway. I had been waiting until she was eating a little better before increasing.

Dwight, I'm happy to see the better numbers too!...and I like your idea about the syringes too! It seems like it wouldn't be hard, and wouldn't cost any more money to make the plunger a different color than the lines! If you go on Shark Tank and get a deal, I want 10%...LOL

Got a nice PMPS to start the evening with, so I'm hoping she'll just surf safely the rest of tonight. Went ahead and did the increase so we'll see how she does.

The medallions are Natures Variety Frozen Raw Chicken medallions Andrea. They also have patties and a new "bite sized" kind

They're kind of like chicken nuggets without the breading....LOL

You keep them frozen and only take out a few at a time to defrost in the refrigerator. I used to kind of "poo poo" the stories of how much of a difference a raw diet can produce, but boy am I a believer now!

China's coat is fantastic and thicker than I've ever seen it. She's got more muscle than I've seen in years too.

What a gorgeous day for China!!! I like that $100 roll over pay off thingie...Frankie does that all the time and she could pay off our mortgage! Oh, something new to dream about.....
