Yesterday's condo - retry



Boy that was an exciting day yesterday. Luci had her longest run ever in the lagoon - a couple of times dangling her toes over the sharks-but we pulled her back up with FF Gravy Lover's and she loved the ride (especially the change of food!) She was licking her chops with every test..

What can we expect to see today? Is this a trend? Although it's nerve wracking for me - is it ok to test every 2 hours once she starts to 'trend' in the greens? Right now I see that she likes to deep dive and scares me half to death when she goes under 50 - so I feel like I HAVE TO KNOW how close she is to 50 all day long - poking her ears hourly - although she doesn't seem to mind a bit - as long as there's gravy type food involved.

That was a nice run yesterday! The only good thing about a bounce is that you can give her a bit of a pokey break. I would grab a test around +3 which is usually is onset so you can get a feel for how this cycle could play out. She could just stay in bounce mode for the day or she could start to come down. She cleared her last bounce in 3 cycles. You will start to see a pattern emerge with her . If you look back on 2/21, it took her about 11 cycles to clear her bounce. Now she is clearing them a bit faster. Those trends do help to have an idea of what to expect, but she is a cat........LOL

As far as testing while she is in the greens, test away all that makes you comfortable to make sure she is safe. But, while she is running higher, I would just get strategic test along the way and give you both a break unless you think more testing is required.

Can you help me understand please - when was the 'mini-bounce'? I'm still trying to figure out what's going on with her patterns...yesterday doesn't make a bit of sense to me...and today, it's like she's back to her old ways - blues...yellow...nothing going on there...
 
I'm having a hard time understanding what's going on with Luci's numbers - as I try to look at the big picture - I can't figure out a pattern at all...today it's even whackier - she's had no high carb or medium carb at all since last night when DH gave her some at PM 4+ - and she's been going up since...tonight this 310 reading - seems so out of whack from yesterday's numbers. I just wish I could get a better feel for what's going on with her - if there was some kind of pattern - certain days of the week that I could have some clue what to expect...but so far I'm not seeing it...she's all over the place - and the only thing I can be sure of - this is a cat - and I have no idea what she's going to do next. Until yesterday I was confident that she was responsive to HC or MC foods - yesterday she never did what I thought she might do after eating HC/MC foods - she never really soared very high - all day long - and here it is the next day - no HC or MC - only LC - and she's climbing - so she's pushing all those glyco's out into her blood stream - from her non-functioning pancreas/liver today? But yesterday didn't have any to spare? With all that HC/MC food - is that what this is today? Her body processing the food from yesterday?

I'm obviously new to this whole thing - and am perplexed about what's going on...
