Saturday's Condo

Another happy blue start for Willie. We had a great weekend with lots accomplished outdoors (now if only the inside would clean itself...   ) Willie continued to supervise the pallet garden project on Saturday, though it meant several forays into the forbidden front yard. Once he strayed too far from the garage, I'd take him to either side of the house and put him over the fence into the backyard. Ten minutes later or so, he'd come bounding back through the cat door in the garage and we'd do it all over again. Got two pallets constructed for the garden and one filled with herbs. Decided for lettuce, spinach and kale to start the seeds in jiffy pots and then plant. Plus got both lawns mowed and the neighbor's encroaching trees trimmed. I share significant fence with this one house, and they basically do absolutely nothing with their backyard... so lots of overgrown everything, with an almost complete cover of violets, which have crept into several neighbors' lawns. I swear, several of their trees and shrubs have more growing in my yard than theirs at this point!

Herbie did explore the garage a bit last night... thinking I may try to get her out on the leash one night this week... I'll just make sure it is connected to me this time so she can't get away if she gets scared!

Almost shower time, just means leaving a snuggly boy! Wishing everyone a great Monday, and keeping Melissa and Bailey in our thoughts on this dental day!

Re: 3/26 Willie AMPS 125

Hi guys .. sounds like a nice weekend for all of you! Willie, you be good and stay where your momma puts you! Show herbie what the great outdoors is all about .. Hoping willie surfs the day away for you .. have a great day guys!

Willie's been having quite the time out in the yard this evening. I went out to take out a huge bin of yard waste from overhang off the neighbor's trees and shrubs (neighbors who apparently believe in just letting their entire backyard do whatever it will    ) and as I came back through the gate, Willie came over to have a very important conversation that involved lots of pets. Then, he insisted I sit down on the patio and enjoy the evening. Finally, with Herbie crying on the other side of the kitchen pet door, I was allowed to go back inside.

Had to crack up...I had taken one of Herbie's toys, attached a jingle bell, and put it on a stretchy string that suspends from the top of the door frame on the steps up to my office/workout room. Turns out? Herbie just wanted the string!! She's been gleefully batting at the bare elastic string for like half an hour now. Go figure!

Okay, early morning tomorrow... off to bed for me!!
