3/26 -Shakes to the vet

So I cant stand these 500's and I was so worried about him today I took
him to the vet...(yes this is what happens when you go on vacation, dont go anyway and have all day to worry!!!)
kinda funny cause she looked at his numbers and said that she was thinking
that I needed to lower to 3 units for a few days to see how he reacted to that
She thought that maybe he was getting too much insulin...
So tonight I fed a low carb dinner, ketones are negative and I shot 3 units
and I am praying like crazy that this will help him
thanks for all the input today and funny how everything we were all thinking
was exactly what the vet was thinking too...gotta love it!
 
ok so at +11 he was 498 so I didnt even bother with a +12
I shot him up with 3 units in a completely different spot
his +3 is 229!!! :shock:
ok, I hope this isnt just for tonight, but I will say he is acting more himself
he has been up since shot time and quite active....
this could be a good thing!!
 
I started massaging Baxter before I give him his shot. Then I massage him after focusing on the area I just shot into. I think it gets the blood flowing & gets the insulin spreading. What do I know? FD is making me crazy! @-)
 
I'm hoping the drop didn't continue quite that fast... but since it's +7 and you haven't been on to post a scary number, I'm guessing everything is a-ok?

Glad to see you got some encouraging numbers from the reduction, Denise. Keep us posted in the AM.
