Well, it does look like Rusty got a fur shot last evening. I just put a dollar into the basket! Early this morning he had incredible energy: zooming around, playing with the cap on the toilet bolt, sliding on the rugs. He was happy to be up (all of this was at 6 A.M.). The rest of the day so far he has been sleeping. Appetite so-so.

Weather is changing. It was 11 degrees F. here this morning, now it is in the 30s and raining lightly. Freezing rain predicted for tonight. This is not good, because roofs still have a lot of snow on them and some roofs in the area have collapsed from the weight. Rain would make it worse.

Here's a pic I took yesterday at Paul Smiths:

0n the Boreal Life Trail, a section that crosses a wetland on a boardwalk. You can see the Tamaracks (Larches), still bare of their needles, and evergreen spruces. It was a beautiful walk.

bbl,

You live in such a pretty area Ella. It's great that you enjoy winter sports so you can enjoy the scenery all year round! Me.....I would happily visit (again) for the gorgeous autumn colours but would definitely want to leave before winter:eek:
Rusty's obviously feeling well despite the fur shot! I love it when my cats have the zoomies but it certainly doesn't happen very often any more:(

Beautiful pic Ella. I love when you share photos!

Glad to hear Rusty was being a goof ball this morning despite his fur shot. I think "zoomies" needs to go in the slang dictionary for other to enjoy!:woot:

Beautiful picture! I love looking at winter scenes, I just don't want to have to live through them, lol.

Glad to hear Rusty had such a good morning! I agree, zoomies are awesome, any time of day, lol!:cat::bighug:

sigh...

we tried to go skiing today - a place called Sipapu near Taos, NM....
they supposedly had gotten 18 inches, and then 4 more....

We think that was an exaggggggeration, it was very rutted, scraped off, and a bit too hardpacked to have gotten that much powder.

Glad Rusty is feeling so playful.... followed by a good nap.

Hi Ella! :coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee:
Auntie Ella! I've got Ethiopian today! On my way, thermal cups and a thermos for you! ~~ Vanessa, kitteh barista

So sorry I've missed so many of your condos. I've finally been able to go back a read all. :) You have been busy, as has your weather! I did enjoy your photos. That hike to Avalanche lake looked great. I've got yo get snow shoes! We have so many nice places here for that, and I suspect I am really missing out. Your walk near home the other day looked great too. You still have lots of snow. Bummer on the changes, and the problems with snow weight on roofs etc. I hope that works out for all concerned. Most of my adventures have been local, within a few miles. Since we are now beginning to warm some I hope to expand to more on the western side of the cascades, and soon over to eastern Washington. Out snow pack is good this year, which also means that the melt will be later than normal, so those mountains will have to wait a few more.

Rusty, bummer on your fur shot.... but it looks like you've recovered nicely. Off to the lagoon once more. KUDOS! Keep those good BG's coming, and remember to eat your fuds!

All is well with us, another week come and gone. Not too much new with Nicholas and William. Both are doing well in school, and love going. They are on Spring Break next week, so we are beginning to plan an adventure or two, as Nicholas will be able to go mid week. YAY! We hope for good weather... but it seems rains are the mainstay next week too. At least we have warmed to the mid 50's. We are so looking forward to some adventure time.

Have a great week!
