Good morning LL!
This morning Clyde started out at a nice 65 and all of the food was eaten through the night. Clyde appears to be eating a consistent amount around 4.5-5oz.
While that is only about 170-190 calories a day, it is possible it is enough for him since all he does is lay on the bed all day.
The scale came in last night and I need to figure out where to actually put it. It is bigger then I expected, but it holds Clyde nicely although I'm not sure he was thrilled about being weighted. I need to make sure I put him in the center of the scale when I weigh him. He definitely lost some weight since his checkup in December. He's down to 17.5ish pounds, which is good since we've been trying to get him to loose some weight. With the scale, I will be able to see how much he's loosing or if his weight is staying steady with this amount of food. If it ends up it is dropping too fast, I know I will need to have the vet look at him.
Last night Clyde's BG gave me a bit of a scare when I did the PMBG. I was getting some really funky readings on my meter and across multiple tests the values were outside the margin of error. It turns out there must have been some type of residue on my hands that was affecting the results. After I washed my hands (again) I got several tests in a row that showed him in the normal range.
