Yesterday's condo

Well, it's moving day for DM! Got movers at her old house packing the big stuff up and the furniture company bringing the new couch/recliner and then we get to start un-packing! I can hardly wait!! (yeah, right) The roofers are back stomping on my roof today too. Busy Wednesday here!!

Don't know what happened this morning, but the alarm that goes off every day at 6am for China's shot didn't go off. At first I thought maybe I'd just slept through giving her shot, but there was no test reading on the meter either. The final confirmation that I hadn't done it was that the civvies hadn't been fed either, so I'm 100% sure I didn't give China her shot at 6 like I should have

Her appetite still isn't what it should be, especially considering how little she ate last night, but she ate about 75% of her normal morning meal. I sure wish I knew what was going on with her, but at this point, I think she's getting enough food to keep from running into hepatic lipidosis (I hope and pray). I'll try giving her some pepcid about 30 minutes before her PM dose and see if that helps with her inappetence in the evenings.

Don't know what else to do, especially with the schedule we have this week. :YMSIGH: :YMSIGH:

Hi guys .. what a nice blue start china! Yes, sure seems like a busy day for you .. I can't tell you how many times we slept through alarms for mocha, thankfully never for a shot but for night time testing .. at one point we had four alarms going! Have a great day guys!

Glad to hear that China is eating a bit more this morning. That takes a little of the worry away.

Just think - all of this will hit at once (moving, roofers, bad appy), and then it will all be over at once. It would be great to have a few days of just taking care of you.

Hi Chris! I'm sorry that Chinas appy is down, but I'm glad she is eating some for you. I have to take out a spoon and feed Chyna sometimes and she slurps it up eagerly usually...so weird when she ignores the bowl two seconds earlier :roll: .

I'm one of the weird people who love unpacking! I hate packing and moving (since it also usually involves cleaning, donating, and throwing out stuff) but I like the "starting fresh" in a new place set up :cool: . I hope it all goes well and doesn't tax your knee too much. Thank goodness for movers!

Chris, Just letting you know that I am thinking of you and hope the moving day goes smooth...
Wish I could help you with China.. Only thing I can say is when Freddie is not eating I have to hand feed him, in fact I really have to feed him almost every day he never has an interest to eat on his own. Been doing that for him for months now. I hand feed him about 4 times a day. You better think of taking care of yourself too...!!!!

I'm sorry China's appy isn't the greatest. I hope it improves soon. I hope everything went smoothly with your DM's move to her apartment.

Chris you have been busy. Moving is a big job. I hope it is going OK. I am sending prayers for China to increase her appetite in the evenings.
 
China ATE!! Not much at PMPS, but at +3 and again at +5 and she acts like she'd like a little more (not going to give it to her just yet though), but I'm happy to see her eating and acting hungry!

Now if we could just get these numbers back to where they belong, I'd be even more thrilled!

I'm VERY tired tonight and it's been a very long day, so I'm sorry I didn't get to many condo's today. Tomorrow is pain clinic day, so I'll be on the road for 5+ hours and then in the afternoon, over to DM's apartment to continue unpacking stuff.

The place looks much more homey today now that it has furniture in it though, and we actually were able to get everything she really wanted into the apartment without looking too crammed in. Next big job will be getting food stocked up and also getting all her stuff at Kidwell packed up and moved over too.

I THINK we'll get her moved in over the weekend though, and then we'll just have to figure out how best to keep her healthy, active and happy...and I'm SURE having her Miss Kitty back in her life will help raise her spirits a lot too!

China, I don't know what you were doing earlier today, unless it was just wanting to let Mama concentrate on her DM and not you, but looks like you got back on track this evening. Blue is a much better color for you than yellow, and a little green now and then wouldn't hurt, either!

Chris, you are so busy, I don't know how you do it! I'm glad things are moving along well with your DM. I agree with Rachel - I like the unpacking part the best. I hope it all continues to go smoothly and your DM is very happy in her new place.

Meanwhile, Don't forget that you are still recovering from surgery, and give that knee a rest!
