Good morning everyone.
Nothing different to report so far today. It is 11* this AM and we did get a little snow yesterday but..... 50*s by Monday. :shock:

Another nice start for Boots this morning. I think everyone is having this crazy up and down weather. Our high today is in the 30s and the 60s tomorrow.

Brrrr.....bundle up before you leave the house! How do you work on your food plot when it's so darned cold? DH can't get his garden planted yet because of the weather.

Boots is lookin' great, but I'm still waitin' to see that green pre-shot number! Come on, Boots, you can do it!

This winter has been awful. We are 2.5" away from our all time record of 93" of snow for the season. I've still got piles along the drive almost 3' high. Small areas of lawn that I can see are matted with snow mold. Last year Comerica Park (Detroit Tigers park) stripped out the sod completely to do a re-sod this spring. Since the snow didn't melt on its own, they had to haul it out and thaw the ground with heaters and re-sod last week to be able to play on it next Monday. I don't see how it's going to be rooted in enough.
The plots can wait until May 1 or so before I'll plant that. I'm more worried about getting my hop plants ready for the season. I need to replace a few that I lost to downy mildew but they are still covered up.
The deer have taken up residence near the corn my dad has been feeding. He has about 20 that have found the easy food source. They've had a tough winter with 2' of snow on the level since about early Dec.

Looks like another great day for Boots!
Wow on the situations that the snow cause :shock: Thawing baseball fields???? Amazing. And the wildlife.....so nice to hear how thoughtful your dad is♥

Hi guys ... numbers are looking great for boots! Yes, this winter has been the pits .. It's nice you guys are feeding the deer too .. I always feel bad for the wildlife when winters are this rough .. Have a great day guys!

P.S., just caught up now that your dad graduated from LH and you never moved far .. :lol: You're talking to a girl who grew up in Lapeer and literally lives 2 miles from my childhood home .. talk about not moving far!!
